Q: Does anybody know if you can get a black Dock adaptor for a fifth-generation iPod nano? I have a clock radio which doesn’t have the correct adaptor but the ones that did come with it were in black. Using my white one is spoiling the look of the unit which is entirely black.

- Jane

A: Unfortunately only Apple sells the Universal Dock adapters and they are only available in white. Most of the black dock adapters that you will see have been provided by accessory makers such as the ones that came with your clock radio. Note that some accessory makers will provide updated Dock adapters for newer iPod models, so your best bet might be to contact the manufacturer of your particular clock radio and see if they can send you an adapter for the 5G nano. Failing that, you may be able to purchase an appropriate Dock adapter from another accessory manufacturer instead.
