Q: I got an iPod shuffle (512MB), about 2 years ago, but now it will only play music out of the headphones if I press on the headphone input cord. I’ve tried everything, even 5 different kinds of head/earphones, but no luck. What should I do?
- Mac
A: If you’ve tried several sets of headphones, then logically, the only remaining possibility is that there’s a definite hardware issue with the iPod shuffle itself. Given that it’s 2 years old, you’re probably out of luck unless you purchased an extended warranty from AppleCare or the retailer where you purchased the iPod. Take it to an Apple Retail Store and see what they can do for you, but they will probably tell you that you’d be better off purchasing a new $69 iPod shuffle.
