I just purchased a new fifth-generation iPod, and it won’t automatically disconnect from my computer when it finishes syncing. I seem to recall my other iPods doing this… has the feature been discontinued?

- Corey

A: Not at all… your iPod is likely in “Disk Mode,” which enables your iPod to stay connected to your iPod so that it can be used as any other hard drive for storing data. If this doesn’t interest you, you can allow automatic disconnects by simply disabling the “Enable Disk Use” option found in iTunes’ iPod Preferences window.
