Q: When I wake up in the morning, my iPod mini is on and playing, even though I make sure it’s off when I go to bed at night. This has been going on for about a month now, and I can’t figure out why or how it’s doing this. It’s annoying, and it’s running down my battery!

A: Your iPod mini almost certainly has an alarm set and configured to begin playing a playlist late at night. Simply deactivate it by doing the following:

  • Navigate to the iPod’s main menu
  • Select “Extras”
  • Select “Clock”
  • Select “Alarm Clock”
  • Toggle “Alarm” to display “Off”
