Can I cancel or 'unsend' sent iMessages?

If it’s attempting to send and can’t and you don’t want it to, then turn off your cellular service and it will fail to send.

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iTunes 12.2

I’ve held off on Apple Music, terrified it’ll mess up my playlists and files as I’ve read it does. I’m just using my iTunes library and Spotify now. I miss the old Apple, when they’d put something out that worked well and was easy, it may have had less functionality, but it worked and was intuitive. Now, with each new release, we need to go onto forums and learn work-arounds to get it to do what they said it’s do. Apple stays mum as if this was their plan all along. I just don’t get it and I wonder where they went wrong. Is it a Tim Cooke thing? Or are they just becoming big and slowly morphing into Microsoft?

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iTunes 12.2

12.2 version is preventing me from changing total track numbers on a CD, composer and customized genre.
I spent a lot of time in iTunes 12.1 version yesterday without any of these issues occurring.

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iOS 8.4 + Apple Music

The new Recently Added feature has the one option I want that no other app seems to offer: the ability to view a playlist in a grid view, not as a list of songs.

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iOS 8.4 + Apple Music

So far I hate the updated music player.  Whoever designed this needs to be sacked.  I particularly hate the “Recently Added” banner.  It takes up the top third of the screen to show me three songs that have been on my iPhone for years, not even the most recently added songs.  On top of that it replaced the Shuffle button which is something I did use.

Nope, you’re not missing anyway as far as I can tell. You’d expect it to appear in the “Up Next” view but that shows your play history by default, and if you click on the clock to switch back to “Up Next” it just shows “Playing iTunes Radio”
I don’t know if this is a deliberate design decision to make these feel more like “real” radio stations, or if it’s merely an omission. You can still use Up Next normally when working with the playlists that appear in “For You” or the Genius playlists that you generate.

Odd, still seems to work for me like it did in prior versions, although the design of the download icon and corresponding window in the top right corner has changed slightly.

Adding other users to Find My iPhone

That’s pretty much expected behaviour. Find My Friends is designed for sharing locations between separate iCloud accounts, so you’d have to use two different accounts for it to work out that way. Further, you can only report location from one device per account, since the point is to let your friends know where you are.
You’d probably be better off simply using the Find My iPhone app, which will provide location information for all of your devices registered to a given iCloud account.

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iOS 8.4 + Apple Music

Much like iTunes Match it, and even iCloud Photo Library, turning iTunes Music Library on or off won’t (well, shouldn’t) affect any tracks that are already stored on your device. Playlists seem to be another matter entirely, however, and it seems there are still more than a few bugs with how those are working. This is definitely a “.0” product in terms of the new Music app, and it may take some time before Apple has all of the bugs worked out. iTunes Match was a huge mess for about the first six months after its release.

There would be if there was a way to actually do that. Aside from Jailbreaking your iPhone, however, which is a completely separate and much more complicated topic, the Apple apps are immutable and can’t be removed. The best you can do is tuck them away in a folder.
That said, they don’t really waste that much memory if you’re not using them, although admittedly if you’re running a lower capacity device like 16GB, it’s fair to say that every megabyte counts :)

Yup, similar to the feature in Up Next in iTunes. Good catch, thanks!

Instant Expert: Secrets & Features of iOS 8.4 + Apple Music

You have to really pay attention to the setup, I setup on my iPhone - added the free trail option but turned automatic renewal OFF - and also turned icloud library option off. Strangely when I updated my iTunes at home icloud somehow turned back on and when I synced my phone it removed all my previously existing custom playlists (smart and static) from my phone. All my music remained (I have my entire ripped and purchased library on my phone) oddly enough. I ad to make sure it was turned off in both itunes and in ios. Otherwise my impression of the new app is pretty positive - I’m going to give the streaming thing a try but it never has appealed to me…

Can I cancel or 'unsend' sent iMessages?

I use the HP Envy 110 to print my things off my iPad and any other Apple products, it’s great! There are newer models of my printer so consider those.

The Music app also has a history of your played tracks if you scroll up from the Up Next list.

Resuming incomplete iCloud backups

I thought i backed up my phone and i reset my iphone back to factory settings and sold it then I got my new iphone 6 and tried to restore my backup but there was no option, when I go on iCloud on my computer it says the backup is incomplete but is 27gb.. Is there a way/ a program where i can install my incomplete backup?

Accessing an older iCloud backup

Unfortunately, iCloud only stores your two or three most recent backups, so you won’t be able to get anything older than that. This means that if you’re backing up every night, you’ve only got a couple of days’ worth.
If you’ve been backing up to iTunes, then you may be able to find older backups in your actual PC or Mac backups (assuming you backup your computer with something like Time Machine). iTunes only stores your single most recent backup, but if you backup your computer on a regular basis, older ones might be found in those backups along with the rest of your files.

A First Look at iOS 9's Transit in Apple Maps (Updated for watchOS 2)

Unfortunately, at this point it appears it can’t really handle multiple transportation methods beyond walking routes. Public transit directions will walk you to the nearest public transit access point, but if it considers you to be too far away to walk, it pretty much tells you it can’t find transit directions at all.
It does mix up modes across public transit systems and even agencies, however, so a route through a metropolitan area would switch you across trains, subways, ferries, and buses as required, even those operated by different transit agencies.

A First Look at iOS 9's Transit in Apple Maps (Updated for watchOS 2)

Question for those who’ve tried it:  Does it do mixed transportation methods.  I don’t live close enough to a rail station to have it come up as an option, but when travelling into NYC, that’s how I usually go, so I’d like something that says “Drive 20 miles to train station, Take train for 65 minutes to NYC” or some such.
