First Looks: iTrip, iPod Armor & FlipStand

I recently bought the FlipStand.  I very much enjoying it.  Right angle headphones do indeed fit in least the ones I have do.  It does indeed stand up with the FireWire in.  I too wish that the flip part was not grey but white, the same as the rest of it.  Overall this is a very good case/stand.  It does although make your iPod a little bit heavier.  But it protects your iPod if you happen to drop it or something like that.

Also, my dad has a decive called iRock which does the same thing as the iTrip it is just a bit bulkier and has a longer cord type thing.

How to fill a 5Gb iPod

We have a script, called Make A Bunch Random,
that will allow you to select several Smart Playlists, which it will combine into one playlist and shuffle.

iPods for Windows: It's a good thing?

i love the iPod, and i will probably never own a mac… is that such a bad thing? am i not a “real” iPod user when i’m rockin’ it at the top of the cirque headwall or hanging valley glades in snowmass?

iPod Undercover: Part II

I was just browsing through my ipod files when the firewire cable was connected to my PC and looked in this file using notepad :

and saw it contained the serial number of your iPod I’m nut sure but I think if you used a hedediter or something like that you might be able to change it , just for the fun of it or if like in this story you could try and change the serial so you could buy the TAP without any way of being caught. I’m not sure if it works because I don’t want to mess up my iPod if I do it but it may work

hey wicked article man! im so hyped up about aac, i havent really read much about it until now. I downloaded and installed PowerAmp to try it. The audio format is far superior to MP3 imo. I really hope iPOD supports it.

And to ipodlounger, thanks for the info about the music service. Even though its a “rumour” something nice to look forward to :)

iPods for Windows: It's a good thing?

iTunes is good but ephpod is just as practical.  It’s much better than MusicMatch Jukebox for organising files and editing tags.

Rumors indicate that the new Apple music service will use AAC formatted music files. So if this proves to be true, then the iPod’s software will be updated to support AAC.

will existing iPods be able to decode AAC files if a software upgrade on the iPod comes out?  or are we doomed to buy a newer iPod…?

If you’d like to try ripping MPEG-4s from CD with iTunes and QuickTime Pro, try “Make Mine MPEG-4”.

Very nice article, but as an aside, Quicktime 6 Pro can encode and decode AAC files.
