Changing iPhone number for iMessage

Recently I switched my iphone number to a blackberry and got a new number for the iphone.  I deregistered the old number from apples servers, however, the old number is somehow still being recognized by apple for purposes of imessage.  If imessage is active in my iphone, i cannot text myself on my blackberry because the system thinks the blackberry phone number is imessage capable.  The texts simply show as sent on the iphone and disappear into cyberspace, never showing up on the blackberry.

The Complete Guide to FaceTime + iMessage: Setup, Use, and Troubleshooting

I have iphones 5C and 5S. 5C works fine with Facetime. But 5S does not work. I already log in with AppleID but when I place a Facetime call or received a Facetime call I can’t hear or see the caller image (even it said Facetime connecting…). The caller will not see and hear me too. Please advise.
Thank you.

iTunes library disappears after enabling iCloud

Not sure I followed the problem since iTunes and iCloud have nothing to do with one another. Purchases are in the cloud - not iCloud. iTunes Match is in the cloud - not iCloud. iCloud is a service for mail, contacts, calendars, notes and among other things, Photostream. But it has zero involvement with iTunes.
Now, sure- iTunes can lose a library if something happens. But generally the actual music will always remain as the library is completely independent of the program and, more notably, iCloud.

The Complete Guide to Managing iTunes Videos

I was using Samsung galaxy tab before, and my main reason to use it is playing video files for some training course.
I switched to iPad mini and now I’m so regret that I did this because
1-  on Samsung I was able to copy video files to my tab easy same you copy files to a flash memory , but on this iPad it’s so hard to do it
2- after the headache of copying files finished I was shocked when I tried to play the videos as the only option available is delete videos ,,,,!!!!!you can not do any thing else .
Apple devices are just name.

Notifications when restoring from another Apple ID

Hi Jesse,

So if you load a backup from iCloud and then shut off internet straight away, (then go on flight mode) there will be zero notifications/emails from iCloud?

Transferring recorded videos from iPhone to PC

Hi there,
I need to know how to burn a DVD for videos (and pictures) from my PC. I am running Vista, if that matters. Anyway, I hooked my phone into computer and I was quickly able to transfer all my photos and videos from my iPhone. But I don’t know where to go next. I would like to transfer ALL videos onto a DVD, then I would like to create another DVD slideshow with pics and videos from our Disney World Family Vacation (I would also like to add music). Can you please walk me through how to do this? Please keep in mind that I am not very technology savvy either. I normally pay a friend to do this for me, he is a professional videographer. but he has since moved and I can’t find anyone to do this for me. Everyone that I have approached just brushes me off and says “oh that’s easy, you can do that yourself…you don’t need to pay anyone”. Then they start talking me through it as if I will remember those steps and as if I understand what they are saying (which I don’t). But I’m embarrassed to tell them that. So I feel pretty stupid, but I don’t know how to do this. Please help

Transferring your iTunes Library

My wife had purchased 12 songs from iTunes and while she was on my computer.  Now I have those tunes on my account and can’t seem to get them over to her Ipod nano.  I spent probably 2 hours trying to get them over yesterday.  Can someone help me get those songs on her Ipod Nano?

Editorial: It's Time To Fix Lightning Dock + Case Compatibility

I have the iPhone 5s, iPad and iPod all with the new lightning connector. Since I have accessories that work well, I chose to buy Apple’s adapters so I could still use them. Yes, they are expensive (some £30 each) but they are cheaper than trying to buy a replacement speaker or alarm clock for items that are still of good quality.

Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

Thank you for great advice! I just succeeded getting my iPod content onto my new Windows computer the ‘manual’ way!

Beware however!! One thing I had to discover myself was that even after un-hiding the files and downloading a free trial of Macdrive 9 it would not work. I then poked around the iPod as another drive and found the music files as ‘read only’. As soon as I unchecked the ‘read only’ it worked!! The whole content of my iPod onto my new PC!

Thank you!!

New in iOS 7 For iPad, iPhone + iPod touch: Details + Screens

The iOP7 has destroyed the Voice Memo app, one of the most useful features for this phone. It has also made the camera more difficult to operate. And it ismuch harder to read the main screen.

Could Steve Jobs please come back from the dead?

(and I’m really glad I sold my Apple stock.)

iOS 7: Delete photos from Camera Roll without removing from Photo Stream

I am trying to delete some pics from my 5c to free up space as I can’t even update the phone.  My pics are backed up on iCloud on my MacBook including contact pictures.  My question is if I delete a picture from the phone that I used as a contact pic will that pic remain in contacts or once it’s deleted is it gone from the contact list as well?
