Perhaps it’s a great day to wake up if you’re not part of the GLBT community.
Oh yeah…there’s “change” all right. Eighteen-thousand couples in California woke up this morning to find out that their neighbors voided their marriages.

@Miranda:
Those same eighteen-thousand couples aren’t going anywhere. The longer those same neighbors see those couples openly love each other, the more their minds will change. We GLBT people have time and patience on our side. The proponents of devisive legislation like Prop. 8 have fear on theirs.
Time, patience, and love. Time, patience, and love. Time, patience, and love.

@Miranda
As a member of the black GBLT community I rejoiced in the fact that for the first time (as far as I can remember) a president elect has mentioned “gays” in his celebration speech. A small indication of what the GBLT community might expect from this presidency as compared to the Bush stand on gay Mariages.

Personally, I’m counting down the days until January 20, 2013 (1535), but I can recognize the historic significance of a First.

A President’s second inauguration generally isn’t as exciting as his first.
