Just a proposal. It would reduce visual clutter and make using the iPhone 4 a little more magical.

Now if only there was a way to get rid of the AT&T logo there, we’d be all set.

I’d go instead for a logo of a hand crossed out to appear when all bars are gone…

I think Apple will put it in the update so the Signal displays 5 bars all the time so if you drop a call you will just blame your network provider

There is a way to get rid of the AT&T logo and one to get rid of the reception bars as well. All you have to do is create pure transparent png files and find the util floating on the internet that converts pngs into iphone png format. Then you replace your carrier logo and the bars logo with it. In the next week or so the snow bunnies should be releasing toys to let you do it easily but if your adventurous there are instructions out there on how to jailbreak your iphone today. If you still have your old iphone, you can jailbreak it do the mod unjailbreak it restore it then restore to your new iphone and you will have a clean iphone4 with all your logo customizations intack.

I think the AT&T logo should be the reception indicator - the logo fades out with less reception. That way, if AT&T wants people to see their logo, they have to make sure the service is good

Seriously? This blog post is about a change in iPhone by making AT&T bars go away? When their is a bunch of other necessary changes.
