Pitched as a $30 add-on battery pack for the original iPhone - it doesn't fit or match the iPhone 3G - iPhoneck's BBONE Backup Battery for iPhone contains a 850mAh Lithium Ion rechargeable cell that is connected to any self-supplied USB-to-Dock Connector cable for charging purposes, supplying 2-3 hours of added talk time or video playback, with 3-4 hours of Internet use and 4-5 hours of music playback time. Cosmetically matched to the first iPhone, it nonetheless doesn't do a great job of locking into the device's Dock Connector port, and consequently flips between charging and non-charging modes seemingly at random. A blue light on the front indicates that it's recharging.
