I have to say, it's been a lot of fun coming up with fun concepts for what I would like the iPhone nano to be. Seeing as how the contest is over tomorrow, it's safe to say this will be my last entry.
I decided to take the idea of a stunningly slim form factor to the nth degree for this iPhone nano concept; Asides from making the product easy to fit in any pocket, its very narrow aspect screen allows for some original interface ideas that differ from that of the existing iPhone: Namely, the 'slot machine' main menu, allows scrolling between any number of applications a simple, one-handed gesture. In horizontal mode, the screen allows for widescreen movies to be shown properly, and also makes the neat little Nintendo screen work pretty well (Wouldn't some Apple-Nintendo cooperation be fantastic?) Other applications, such as Coverflow and programs that require icons to the side of the visible screen also benefit. But mainly, I just thought the slim screen was just plain cool looking.
Inspired by Andrew Skurdal's clever use of color, I decided to show this iPhone concept in a variety of my favorite hues, which are more vibrant than the current iPod nano tones.
