iPod Classic Concept

During Apple's 2010 iPod event, many of the iPod were updated and underwent major changes. However, the iPod Classic wasn't one of them. This is a concept of what they could have done with the iPod Classic.

I started out with a bigger screen because it is better for watching videos (just look at the iPod Touch and the iPhone). However, this would leave no room for the wheel.

The wheel has been replaced with a bar on the bottom containing all of the buttons available with the wheel. All of the buttons press like normal. Instead of spinning, now all you have to do is slide and hold until it scrolls to your desired point. The farther you slide, the faster it scrolls.

The most important part about the iPod Classic is its storage. Since an actual hard drive is required to get that amount of storage, the screen cannot be touchscreen. However, that is alright because if it was, it might as well be an iPod Touch.
