Apple offers iPod Battery Service for $99

Apple is now offering a Battery Replacement program that includes iPods over a year old. “Battery Service: $99.00 USD: labor, parts, and a 90-day guarantee on materials and workmanship, plus $6.95 shipping. $105.95 USD total.” This service is not yet available for Europe. Check this FAQ for more information on cheaper battery replacement alternatives.

"My main reason for buying the iPad 2 was its thickness... or lack thereof. It's so much nicer to use; especially over time as the iPad gets heavy. I'm involved in a government rollout of iPads and iPhones. We are trailing the original iPad at the moment. One of the most common questions we have from users is 'can we get the iPad 2 as the iPad 1 is so much heavier/thicker'."
