Apple iLife (2014)

Apple’s software engineers have been pretty darn busy. In addition to iOS 7 and Mavericks this year, the company has just announced new versions of iLife for the Mac; iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand (Free) have all been updated, and are available today. Now, the apps look a lot like their also-updated iOS counterparts. Oh, and they’re all free.

Each of the apps sees a clean new look, and lots of added features. GarageBand got the most love at the Keynote address. One of the coolest features is virtual session drummers: “Kyle” comes free, while 13 more can be added via in-app purchase.
