Quirky Space Bar
Desk space is always a precious commodity—almost as much as open USB ports. That’s why Quirky’s Space Bar ($79) makes so much sense. It’s a combination of a stand for your iMac or Cinema Display with a USB hub. And it looks pretty cool.
Made of the same style of aluminum Apple uses, Space Bar can hold up to 20 pounds—or the equivalent of a 21.5” iMac. It leaves clearance for your keyboard so that you can slide it out of the way when you’re not using it. Plus there are six USB ports—four on the front and two more on the back. While this isn’t the first combination of shelf and USB hub we’ve seen, we like the look of the Space Bar; even the exposed screws on top bring a certain interesting, industrial feel to the design.
