Could Marware actually be replacing its classic line of Sportsuit Convertible case-slash-armbands with something new? Not exactly: SportShell Convertible ($45) is an alternative, relying on a multi-piece plastic hardshell rather than the more protective neoprene enclosures of old. Now, the hardshell splits into three pieces to enable users to insert or remove a clear belt clip, which doubles as an armband-holding mount and triples as a video stand; Marware also includes a traditional neoprene armband in the set, along with a screen protector and cleaning cloth. This case provides less coverage for the top, bottom, and sides of the iPhone 3G and 3GS than the prior Sportsuit, effectively removing any sense of moisture resilience, but is considerably sleeker.
