Updated: iPod DB source code for Delphi

Update: Source Code for reading and writing is No longer for sale, because it was based on ephpod I’m not allowed to sell it but I did not know this. Tuneout application can be downloaded for free here.

The source code is for Borland Delphi programming language, it allows you to make an application that uploads your mp3 files to the Windows iPod and also read what the person has on their iPod. Email me when you have paid $5.00 Canadian using PayPal, and I will email you the source code.

Wired News: TunA Lets Users Fish for Music

“Media Lab Europe, research partner to MIT Media Lab, is testing tunA, a software application that employs Wi-Fi to locate nearby users, peek at their music playlist and wirelessly jack into their audio stream. Pronounced like the fish and signifying music “tunes” and “ad hoc” file sharing, tunA is being designed for wireless PDAs, cell phones and even its own hardware device.”

Free iPod Engraving from Apple Store UK

Apple’s iPod might be one of the most self-indulgent things you ever buy - especially because in the UK at least it’s so hard to find anyone selling the iPod cheaper than Apple. However, until the end of the year the UK Apple Store is offering their iPod Engraving service for free. This is great if you’re buying the iPod as a gift for someone else or to mark it against theft. Normally engraving costs about 30 so this is a bit like getting a discount, in a perverse “no not really” kind of way!

DLO Announces TransPod FM for 3G iPods, Accepting Pre-Orders

picDigital Lifestyle Outfitters today announced they are introducing TransPod FM, the newest version of their patented wireless car solution for all 3rd generation iPods with dock connectors. Windows: Tuneout v0.1 Released

Version 0.1 allows you to do a few things Browse your iPod DB exactly like you would using your iPod. The Extras folder dosn’t work at the moment but the rest works exactly like iPod you can do different types of search’s, The application does support Unicode so you can have your mp3 tags in any language…when u open Tuneout you will see a DB file is loaded that is my Windows iPod DB if you want to load your own press Load DB and open your iTunesDB file on your iPod HD. SimpleSpeaker and iPodSaver Art Edition Released

picHigoto, manufacturer of specialized accessories for mobile computing based in Germany has announced the SimpleSpeaker and iPodSaver Art Edition (neoprene case) for iPod. The SimpleSpeaker ($10) is a small stereo speaker system that requires no batteries and draws its power from the iPod’s headphone port. The iPodSaver ($25) is a grey and black neoprene sleeve case with artwork by Thomas Schostok {ths} on the front of the case. iPod the Missing Manual 2nd Edition coming soon

According to Barnes & Noble booksellers, a second edition of “iPod: the Missing Manual” by David Pogue will be released January 2, 2004. A B&N sales rep stated that its stores should have the new $24.95 volume available for sale two days later.

USATODAY: 41 more sued over music downloads

“Despite bad press for turning on its customers, the recording industry said Wednesday that it would sue 41 more people, alleging they illegally downloaded music from the Internet. [...]

Nielsen/NetRatings says the average number of users on Kazaa, the top music and movie trading program, has dropped 53% since June when the RIAA first warned of lawsuits.”
