Three FM Transmitters Reviewed

Travis Butler for TidBits has posted a review of the iTrip, SoundFeeder and iRock FM transmitters.

“Is the iTrip perfect? No. I wish the signal was stronger so reception could be clear and consistent across the city. I wish Griffin could have come up with a less cluttered approach to tuning, though I’m not sure what would work better.

Would I recommend the iTrip to others? Yes. If nothing else, the massive improvement in convenience over the other FM transmitters is worth it. The wide-ranging digital tuning - even given the Rube Goldbergian approach - is also welcome.”

3Ring Reviews iTrip in Boston

Another review of the iTrip that hopefully clears up any questions about it.

“My final conclusion would be that the iTrip is a good product, given what it has to do within FCC restrictions. However, be aware that sound quality will vary greatly on your area. This is out of the iTrip’s hands as it cannot really control or take over any frequencies… even though I was able to on what seemed to be a very weak frequency. All in all, I would say a good buy, although not an essential buy.”
