I just received an email from Sendstation, makers of the PocketDock FireWire adapter. It states that preorders for the PocketDock are now shipping. The website states that shipping time to the USA and Canada is 4-7 weekdays, shipping within Europe is 1-4 weekdays and the rest of the world is 4-14 weekdays. The PocketDock costs $18.95 for a single adapter and is also available in a 3-pack for $52.95.

iSkinWorld is offering 35 iShade coloured screen protectors available to the UK for test drives. The first 35 people to email with their name, iLounge user ID and a UK address will get to choose one of 7 iShade colours. iShades are designed to be used with iSkin eXo cases and together create an individual look and offer great protection for 3rd Gen iPods.

We recently reported that Daimler Chrysler’s European Smart division will announce tomorrow the new i-move car at Apple Expo Paris featuring an iPod connectivity kit. Smart has launched a website with information (although in French) about the new i-move car and iPod Kit. As noted by MacMinute, the connectivity kit consists of a “dock, found just above the gear shift, takes advantage of the new iPod’s bottom connector and appears to be connected directly to the car’s audio system, allowing you to control volume and tracks from the head unit.”

Engineered Audio, developers of the RemoteRemote wireless remote controller for iPod have sent iLounge an open letter explaining its delay in shipping. The demand for a shipping product has been intense since its announcement. Please click ‘Read more’ for the open letter.

Tom’s Hardware has posted a comprehensive review of the iSkin eXo case for 3G iPod.

E&B Company, makers of cases for PDAs and handheld devices has released a new case for iPod named Slipper. The all black leather case features a flip-lid design, magnetic closure, access to all functions/ports and a removeable leather pouch for earbuds. The Slipper comes in two versions; with belt clip for $49.95 and without belt clip for $46.95. Both versions are in stock and shipping for 10, 15 and 30GB iPods.

Shinza has released a line of accessory cases for digital devices including a small size said to be perfect for iPod. The ZeroShock Mobile Accessory cases feature “high-resistance polyurethane foam that provides superior absorption of external impact force”, two mesh pockets, comes in three sizes (small, medium and long), and is available in black or grey.

XtremeMac has released the new iPod Deluxe leather cases for 3G iPod models. The case has a patent pending design feature where the iPod is held in place without anything in the front covering the face of iPod. It also features a large access hole for the headphone/remote ports, and the front flap with Velcro closure can be opened without having to unplug the cable. The Deluxe case comes in Black Leather or Camel Tweed and is available for $29.95 (includes belt clip).

ProClip, makers of custom made accessory mounts for automobiles has announced new mounts for iPod. “ProClip mounting brackets are clip-on devices, that attach to the car or truck’s dashboard or console, and can be self-installed in seconds. Once the bracket is in place, a custom designed holder is attached to provide a perfect fit for the Apple iPod.” ProClip holders for 10, 15 and 30GB iPod are available for $34.95 and cost for mounts vary depending on model.

Argentine case maker Vaja has opened an outlet on its website to liquidate cases at 50% off regular pricing. “There are over 100 cases and over 15 leather combinations, all first class products which the same Vaja purchase terms and conditions, shipping and warranty policies as the rest of our products in the website.” There are only cases available for 5GB and 10GB iPods. There are no cases available for new 3G iPods.

The Laptops for Less website has posted information announcing that a battery replacement kit for new 3G iPods is under development and will be available by October ‘03. The replacement kit includes a new Li-Ion battery, tools and instructions for $49. Laptops for Less also sells a replacement battery kit ($59) for non-docking iPods and an AC adapter ($29) for all iPods.

MARWARE today announced the release of their new CEO Classic case for 3G iPods. The CEO features top qualtiy leather, clear plastic screen protector, access to all ports and functions, and flip-lid design with earbud storage pocket.

Griffin Technology has redesigned the PowerPod iPod auto adapter. “The Griffin PowerPod, the only iPod charger fully compatible with both original and new Apple iPods, now has a sleek new grey and white charger module that’s well matched with Griffin’s other iPod accessories. The new PowerPod also includes a new ultra-light ultra-flexible 48-inch FireWire cable - also in white.”

Cancom in the UK are selling off limited edition DVForge DVBases for less than £20 (+taxes and delivery). The price is actually falling daily, so this is even less than I paid yesterday.

Vaja announced today that Innovacases.com is their official European importer and distributor for its product line, including all iPod cases. The new French based website will be completed by the end of September.

iLounger ‘jasonmccabe’ has informed fellow iPodders that the new iTrip for 3G iPods is expected to ship in early September according to an email from Jack C., Tech Support for Griffin Technology.

Marware has finally found a leather manufacturer to produce their CEO Classic 3G design. Their website states that the case is now shipping for $34.95.
