Swiss-iTrip allows you to find radio stations in Switzerland and US for use on Griffin iTrip.

Griffin Technology has released several new frequency packs for use on iTrip. The following frequencies may help you find a clear FM station in your area for optimum reception:

iTrip US Frequencies - Odd frequencies from 87.9 to 107.9.
iTrip European Frequencies - Odd and even frequencies from 88.0 to 108.0.
iTrip Frequencies - Other - Odd and even frequencies from 76.0 to 90.0.

Belkin has released a new all digital FM tranimitter at Apple Store online. The Digital transmitter features a coiled cord, LCD display, FM channels 88.1Mhz to 107.9Mhz, up to 8 hours of battery life on 1 AAA battery (included) and a 3-year Belkin warranty. The Digital FM Transmitter is priced at $39.99 and Apple esitmates shipping at 2-3 weeks. The transmitter is not yet listed on Belkin’s website. The Belkin Digital FM transmitter seems to be a rebadged FM transmitter also known as Audia X and Gruv X.

In the forums, iLounger ‘divine’ announced with a link to several photos that he received his new 3G iTrip on September 12. “Not sure why I got it so early. Like I said in the comments, my friend just ordered 2 from Griffin and they shipped it overnight.” He also posted a link to his UPS tracking information to prove to our readers that he did in fact receive it on Sept. 12.

iLounger Sean has informed us that Belkin has released the TuneDok to the general public and has posted information on its website. The TuneDok was the same iPod holder that was provided in the VW iPod connectivity kit for the ‘Pods Unite’ promotion, which has since expired. The iPod holder features ‘AirGrip’ technology (suction cup) for secure placement, a large and small rubber base plus adapter cup for exact fit in a cup holder, cable management system, and comes with a 3 year warranty. The TuneDok fits all iPod models and retails for $29.99.

Dension, the leading manufacturer of hard disk-based car audio, announces ice>Link for iPod - the *ultimate* iPod car kit. iPod audio is routed through the CD changer port on over 80% of European market cars including Audi, BMW, Ford, Mini, Peugeot, Renault and VW as well as aftermarket Alpine, Blaupunkt, Kenwood and Sony. The killer feature is that FF/RW radio controls (and steering wheel buttons on suitably equipped vehicles) are mapped onto iPod allowing track navigation from the vehicle controls. ice>Link for iPod also charges the iPod when in the car.

Here’s an email that I recently received from Griffin Technology, regarding shipping news about the iFM: “While no firm date yet exists for the iFM, we estimate that we are about 80% completed with the project and will likely get it to market in November.”

Wacom Technology is giving away a 40GB iPod and $1000 in two new contests for designers and photographers. The Go Platinum Design contest is requesting the submission of “CD cover-art for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) to use for the CD they will be distributed at PhotoshopWorld West 2004.” In the Go Pro contest “contestants may submit a photo of anything that’s suitable for the enjoyment of all ages and to which they hold all rights.” Winners in each contest will receive “a 40GB iPod and $1000 U. S. to either pocket or use to get to San Francisco to be honored on stage at the opening event for PhotoshopWorld 2004.” More details and rules available at Wacom’s website.

I recieved this email from Griffin Technology this morning :

“We are pleased to announce the new iTrip is starting to ship in a few days. BUT we have a large backlog to clear and will take several weeks depending on where your order was placed. Preorders are shipped first. Your card is not charged until the actual product ships.  The next email you receive from us will be your actual shipment invoice. Thanks for bearing with us.”

Altec Lansing has announced the inMotion Portable iPod Speakers for iPod. The portable speaker system features a built-in docking bay for data transfer and syncronization, full-featured alarm clock that plays wake up music, headphone port, auxiliary input, MaxBass technology for deep bass response, and an on-board Class D amplifier. The portable system uses an included AC adapter or four AA batteries (not included). The inMotion Portable iPod Speakers are priced at $149.99, are available exclusively at Apple Store online, and will be in Apple retail stores beginning in November.
