Target offering $50 discount on iPhone 4, 4S

Target is offering a $50 discount on both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, according to a new report. Citing email tips, 9to5Mac reports that a number of Target locations are offering a deal on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, with the prices of 16GB and 8GB units respectively cut to $150 and $50 on a two year contract, regardless of carrier. It is unclear whether more capacious models are also included, and the deal does not appear to be available online.

Apple offering refurbished iPads for $299 and up

Apple has dropped its pricing on refurbished first-generation iPad units, offering them for as low as $299. As of the time of this writing, 16GB Wi-Fi only refurbished units are priced at $299—although currently out of stock—while 32GB units sell for $399 and 64GB models are priced at $499, with the latter pair listed as in stock and shipping within 24 hours. Wi-Fi + 3G models are also available and sell for a $100 premium over their Wi-Fi only counterparts.

Best Buy offering iPhone 3GS free with contract

Best Buy is offering the 8GB iPhone 3GS free today only. The one-day offer requires a two-year agreement from AT&T and “activation through Best Buy,” and is available both in stores and online. The offer comes just as RadioShack ended a promotion that saw it offering the handset for $19.99 on similar terms; Best Buy offered a similar promotion last year. [via Mac Rumors]

Sam’s Club stores offering iPhone 4 for $147 this week? (Updated)

Sam’s Club stores in the U.S. will be offering the 16GB iPhone 4 for just $147 with a two-year contract through Christmas Day, according to a new report. Citing information and a matching screenshot from an anonymous source, Engadget reports that the 8GB iPhone 3GS will see a similar discount, and will sell for $47 on contract until the holiday. Notably, the iPhone 4 price would represent the cheapest of the season, beating out Radio Shack’s prior discount by two dollars; the report does not indicate whether Sam’s will be offering a similar discount on 32GB iPhone 4 units.

Update: Walmart, which owns Sam’s Club, is offering a $50 Gift Card with the purchase of a new 8GB iPhone 3GS or 16GB iPhone 4.

Apple TV available through Dec. 16 for $80

Apple Authorized Dealer DataVis is currently offering a hefty discount on the second-generation Apple TV. Apple offers ‘Cyber Monday’ discounts

Apple is offering discounts on a select group of accessories for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod in celebration of “Cyber Monday,” the online counterpart to Black Friday. The discounts include $40 off the Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox speaker, $20 off Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD Headphones, $4 off the Twelve South Compass Portable Stand for iPad, and $13 off an iPhone-friendly Cole Haan Zip Wallet. These and the other discounts are available today only on Apple’s online store.

TouchCopy updated, 50% off sale for iLounge readers

Wide Angle Software has released an update to TouchCopy, a utility that allows Mac or Windows users to transfer media content from their iPods or iPhones back to their computers, complete with playlists, ratings and play counts. Featured in our tutorial on Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer, TouchCopy also provides the ability to copy and manage calendars and voice memos, and allows the iPhone and iPod touch to be used as external storage devices for any type of file. Version 9.5 adds support for copying SMS messages, contacts and notes from the iPhone.

Apple begins Black Friday sale

Apple has officially begun its Black Friday 2009 sale, offering discounts on a number of Apple and third-party items. All fifth-generation iPod nano models are available for $11 off their standard prices, while iPod touch discounts range from $21 on the 8GB model to $41 on the 64GB version. The Apple TV is also available at a $21 discount, and the company’s iMac and MacBook Pro computer lines are also on sale, along with a wide range of first- and third-party accessories, including the Airport Express, Airport Extreme, and Time Capsule wireless solutions, the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, the Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic, and more. The sale will run through midnight tonight.

Apple announces Black Friday 2009 shopping event

Apple has announced via a graphic on its online store that it will once again be holding a special shopping event on the day after Thanksgiving, November 27, commonly known in the retail world as “Black Friday.” The image, which shows a package made up of graphic representations of various Apple products, including the iPod touch, iPod nano, and Apple TV, reads: “Come back to the Apple Online Store the day after Thanksgiving for a special one-day-only holiday shopping event. You’ll find dozens of great iPod, iPhone, and Mac gift ideas—all with free shipping.” Exact details of the event, such as applicable products and pricing, have yet to be revealed; last year, the discounts included $11 off all iPod nanos and a $21 discount on iPod classic, iPod touch, and Apple TV models. It is unclear whether Apple will be offering the same or similar discounts in its retail stores, although it has in years past.

Apple announces Back to School Mac/iPod deal

Apple today announced the start of its annual Back to School promotion whereby students and educators can receive a free 8GB iPod touch or less expensive iPod model when purchasing a qualifying Mac computer. To be eligible for the promotion, an educator or student must purchase a new MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, or Mac Pro at the educational price and purchase an iPod at the same time. Students can then mail in their proof of purchase from their Mac to Apple to receive a rebate for the value of the iPod, up to $229. Additional qualifying iPod models include the third-generation 4GB iPod shuffle, fourth-generation 8GB and 16GB iPod nanos, 120GB iPod classic, or more expensive iPod touches; the iPod classic’s rebate is $20 short of its full price, and the rebates for more expensive iPod touches are capped at $229.

The Back to School promotion is available in the U.S. and Canada from May 27, 2009 through September 8, 2009.

AT&T offering $150 refurbished 16GB iPhone 3G

AT&T has cut its price on refurbished 16GB iPhone 3G units, dropping the price by $50 to $150, or a savings of $150 off a new unit. In February, AT&T lowered its pricing on refurbished iPhone 3Gs to $99 (from $149) for 8GB models and $199 (from $249) for 16GB units; the pricing on 8GB models remains unchanged from this prior drop. As with new iPhone 3Gs, the refurbished units require a two-year contract, and AT&T notes that all refurbished iPhones carry a warranty of 90 days or more and may have “minor scratches.” [via Dealmac]

Refurb iPod nano 4G units now $99 and up

Apple is currently offering special limited time pricing on its stock of Certified Refurbished fourth-generation iPod nano units. All 8GB models are now $99, down from the normal price of $129, while the 16GB models are now $149, down from $169; both prices represent a savings of $50 off the retail price of new units. All Apple Certified Refurbished iPods include Apple’s one-year warranty, and are typically limited to the number of units on hand. [via MDN]

Best Buy offering $99 iPhone 3G promo to rewards customers

Best Buy is currently running a promotion in which members of its Rewards Zone program are able to purchase an iPhone 3G at a discount of up to $100. The offer is limited to customers who were members of the program as of February 21. Regular members are eligible for a $50 discount, bringing the prices for the 8GB and 16GB models to $149 and $249, respectively, while Premier Silver members—those who spent $2,500 or more at the retailer in the last calendar year—receive a $100 discount. The offer is good through February 28.

As it announced earlier in the week, Apple has begun offering discounts on a number of different products in a today-only one day sale. The company is offering $11.00 off all iPod nanos, bringing the price of the 8GB model to $138, and the price of the 16GB to $188. The company is also offering a $21 discount on all iPod classics and second-generation iPod touches. Both 40GB and 160GB Apple TV models are discounted by $21, and discounts are also available on the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, Airport Express, iPhone 3G Dock, iPhone Bluetooth Headset, and many other third-party products. The sale will run through midnight tonight.

Apple discounts new, refurb previous-generation iPods

Apple has updated the Special Deals section of its online store with discounts on a number of new and refurbished previous-generation iPods. Refurbished third-generation iPod nano models are now available for $79 (4GB) and $99 (8GB), while new first-generation iPod touch models are available for $209 (8GB), $279 (16GB), and $379 (32GB). The same iPod touch models are also available as refurbished units for $179, $219, and $319, respectively. 80GB and 160GB iPod classic units are also available, selling for $199 and $299 new, and $169 and $249 refurbished. Finally, Apple is offering iPod shuffle models in earlier colors for $49 (1GB) and $69 (2GB) new and $39 and $59 refurbished. As with all Apple Special Deals, all products are limited to the amount of stock on hand.

Listed as having the current software release, the refurbished 8GB model, which previously sold for $249, is now being offered for $199, while refurbished 16GB models are now priced at $299.
