40 GB iPod for Barter with Woman?

An anonymous person has posted a classified ad on Craigslist Boston website offering up a brand new ‘40GB iPod for barter with woman.’ We’re not sure what to think of it, but have emailed the person to explain their intentions with the barter. If we get a reply, we’ll be sure to post it here.

“I have a brand new in the box, unopened 40GB IPOD. Ever want one and can not come up with the cash ??? I am open to trades, and discusion for barter from Woman only….let me know your thoughts. Thanks”

picWell, we were wondering if someone was going to do this… and they did. A reader has submitted photos of his iPod Halloween costume. “I decided to go to the office Halloween party as something more Apple-like. And it won first prize!” It even has a built-in drink holder.

iPod Engraving Utility website re-launched

The iPod Anonymous website formerly known as the iPod Engraving Utility website has been re-launched after a two month hiatus. There is now a new time-wasting web application named iAshamed. Do you have a song on your iPod that you should have deleted a long time ago? Why not share that with all the iPoders by entering the artist and title of the song into the iAshamed web app. The iAshamed features ‘Hall of Shame’, ‘Top Ten Deletions’ and ‘Editor’s Pick’.

“PMPE” movie features iPod

Another short film featuring the use of iPod to help set the ‘mood’ of the movie has a private eye searching for a woman’s missing man. Titled “PMPE” (Phillip Merlow, Private Eye),  this movie is another in a string of movies produced for an iMovie contest for interns at Apple. According to a recent comment on the “iPod Love” news item, those within Apple are encouraged to vote for the movies presented by interns to determine the winner(s).

iPod Spotted: Homestar Runner flash animation

There is a weekly flash animation produced by the folks at HomestarRunner.com about a character named Strong Bad and the emails he receives. In this weeks episode, his brother Strong Sad enters the room at one point listening to what can only be an iPod!

iPod Engraving Utility launched

A new web based, virtual iPod engraving utility has been launched.

“The iPod Engraving Utility was created on June 1, 2003. We’re interested in seeing what a particular engraving would look like without having to waste money on an iPod whose engraving is a tad silly; hence the creation of this utility. The more humorous submissions are catalogued in our gallery.  Feel free to go vote whether or not you love or hate the submissions.”

Penny Arcade has released a comic about the iPod in response to the PVP comic.
