Gumdrop Cases launches with iPhone 4G offerings

Gumdrop Cases has launched its first Apple accessories, including two cases for the unannounced fourth-generation iPhone. The Gumdrop Skin and Moto Skin are form-fitting cases for the fourth-generation iPhone, offering open access to ports and controls and textured surfaces. Both come in a variety of colors and sell for $30. The AirShell is a snap-on polycarbonate hard shell case offering open access to all ports, controls, and the camera, and either a pearl finish—on the Palmtree Island models—or a soft touch, textured finish on the Skater Nation models; it sells for $35. Also available from Gumdrop are the form-fitting Moto Skin TPU case and folio-style Surf Convertible case for the Apple iPad, both of which sell for $40. All of Gumdrop Cases’ new accessories for iPhone and iPad are available now.

iFrogz delivers slew of cases for iPad

iFrogz has announced its new lineup of cases for the Apple iPad. The Silicone Wrapz case is made from 100% silicone and features an anti-dust treatment, impact protection, and access to all ports and controls. It comes in a variety of colors and sells for $30, as does the SoftGloss case. Made from TPU, this semi-opaque case features a radial etched pattern on the rear that highlights the Apple logo, open access to all ports and controls, and the ability to more easily slip in and out of bags. The Luxe Original case is made from polycarbonate and features a hard-shell, two-piece design, a metallic, soft touch finish, and access to all ports and controls. It comes in a variety of color combinations and sells for $40.

Similar to the Luxe Original, the Luxe Lean case is also made from polycarbonate and features a hard-shell, snap-on design, a metallic, soft touch finish, and access to all ports and controls; it comes in a host of colors and sells for $30. The Envoy case is a textured, faux leather sleeve-style case offering a pull tab to help remove the iPad that doubles as a Velcro closure, reinforced seams, and padding for impact protection. It is available in several colors and sells for $30. Finally, the NeoFirm Burst is also a sleeve-style case, featuring a radial print design, a semi-rigid foam back, a neoprene exterior, and a fold-over front pocket. It comes in five colors and sells for $25; all of iFrogz’ new cases for the iPad are available now.

iPad Frame Dock highlights iPad’s picture frame mode

The iPad Frame Dock is a new accessory that accentuates the iPad’s ability to serve as a digital picture frame. Available with or without matting, the stand resembles a traditional picture frame, is made from Oak wood, can be used in landscape or portrait modes, or hung on a wall, allows for pass-through charging and syncing of the iPad using a 30-pin to USB cable, and also features a small play-though button on the front for allow for use of the Home button. The iPad Frame Dock is available now in brown, black, and natural finishes, and sells for $50.

iPad Camera Kits selling for big bucks on eBay

Due to the three to four week shipping wait on new iPad Camera Connection Kits from Apple, the $29 accessories are selling for double their retail cost—and sometimes more—on eBay. A quick check of the auction site this morning revealed a current price of $70 for a Kit auction ending in less than three hours, with another auction sitting at $51 with more than five hours left to go. Engadget reports that one iPad Camera Connection Kit auction that ended Monday closed at an astounding $187.50, or more than six times its normal selling price. The iPad Camera Connection Kit allows users to connect SD cards or USB-equipped cameras to the iPad, but also offers unofficial support for other USB peripherals, including keyboards, headsets, and other USB audio devices.

Noreve rolls out Tradition B, Sleeve cases for iPad

Noreve has rolled out its new Tradition B and Leather Sleeve cases for the Apple iPad. The Tradition B is a folio-style leather case offering a padded design, a built-in rail system to securely hold the device, access to all ports and controls, the ability to function as a slightly inclined horizontal stand, and a magnetic closure. It is available in a variety of colors and sells for $75. The Leather Sleeve case is a simple pocket-style case featuring a slim, padded design, a vertically-oriented top flap with magnetic closure, and a soft interior lining. It is also available in a variety of colors and sells for $68; both of Noreve’s new cases for the iPad are available now.

Cygnett debuts new cases for iPad

Cygnett has debuted its new line of cases for the Apple iPad. The Glam is a folio-style case with a horizontally-opening reinforced front cover, a high-gloss exterior, soft microsuede interior, and rear magnetic closure. It is priced at $70 (AU). Made from a leather-like material, the Lavish is also a book-style case with a horizontally-opening front over, microsuede inner lining, and a rear magnetic closure; it also sells for $70 (AU). SecondSkin is a silicone case offering access to all ports and controls and ridges on the back for added stability on a flat surface. It sells for $40 (AU). The Agenda is a sleeve-style case with a horizontal design, neoprene inner lining, reinforced construction, and an embossed exterior. It sells for $55 (AU). Finally, OpticClear is an anti-glare, anti-fingerprint screen protector, that includes two screen protectors in its pack, along with a microfiber cleaning cloth. It is priced at $30 (AU); all of Cygnett’s new cases for the iPad are available now.

H2O Audio intros Surge Contact Waterproof Headset

H2O Audio has introduced its new Surge Contact Waterproof Headset. Good for use up to 12 feet underwater, the Surge Contact features an in-ear design, neodymium drivers, varying sizes of included elastomer and foam earplugs for a secure fit, and an in-line microphone with single remote button to allow for use with the iPhone, iPod touch, or other compatible device. H2O Audio’s Surge Contact Waterproof Headset is available for order now and is expected to ship June 14 for $70.

V-Moda ships Crossfade LP headphones

V-Moda has announced that its Crossfade LP headphones are now available. Previewed by iLounge in January, the Crossfade LP are over-the-ear headphones featuring memory foam ear cushions, a steel frame, patent-pending 50mm dual-diaphragm drivers, two included, detachable Kevlar-reinforced fabric cables, one with a three-button remote and mic for use with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod, and an included exoskeleton carrying case. V-Moda’s Crossfade LP headphones are available now in white, chrome, and gunmetal black and sell for $250.

Sound ID debuts app-compatible 510 Headset

Sound ID has debuted its new, app-compatible 510 Bluetooth Headset. The 510 uses three microphones and sound processing to help eliminate background noise, and features an in-ear design,  touch sensor volume controls, a dedicated on/off switch, multi-point technology to allow for connection of multiple devices at once, and an environmental mode to allow the user to hear the surrounding environment while wearing the headset. In addition, the 510 is compatible with Sound ID’s free EarPrint app for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, which allows users to tune the audio to match their preferences, and offers a visual battery meter indicator and a find my headset feature. Sound ID’s 510 Bluetooth Headset will be available from AT&T and Sound ID’s website beginning June 6 and is priced at $130.

iPad Mix: Modgrain, WedgePad, iGear, ClayWare, EasyStand

Modgrain has introduced its Modern Wood Stand for the iPad (Pictured). Made from birch wood, the stand features large wooden corners to hold the iPad securely, works in horizontal or vertical orientation, and is supported at a 35 or 50 degree angle by an aluminum bracket that can optionally be mounted to a wall. Modgrain’s Modern Wood Stand for the iPad is available now and sells for $59.

WedgePad has released the WedgePad R1, a new soft iPad stand featuring a bean bag design. It can be used at a 30 or 45 degree angle, and features bands in all four corners for holding the iPad securely, as well as a soft fabric surface. The WedgePad R1 is available now and is priced at $27.

iGear USA is now offering its Metallic Adjustable Stand for the iPad. This stand features a folding design, adjustable legs that allow for six viewing positions from 11 to 60 degrees, the ability to support the iPad in horizontal or vertical orientation, and an included carrying pouch. iGear USA’s Metallic Adjustable Stand for the iPad is available now and sells for $60.

imageClayWare Games has debuted its Pad Bracket, a simple wall mounting system for the iPad. Made from anodized aluminum, the Pad Bracket screws into the wall and can hold the iPad securely in horizontal or vertical position. The Pad Bracket is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship in June for $25.

Coregeek is now accepting pre-orders for its EasyStand for iPad (Pictured). Made from MDF, the EasyStand is a four-inch square, 1.5-inch tall stand for the iPad with two felt-lined slots at 20 and 35 degrees, a metallic black or metallic silver enameled finish, and non-slip rubber feet. Coregeek’s EasyStand for iPad is expected to ship in two weeks and sells for $15.

Vaja reveals Leather Agenda for iPad

Vaja has revealed its new Leather Agenda case for the Apple iPad. Made from leather, this padded folio-style case opens horizontally, like a book, and features two integrated stands, one low-angle for typing, and one for video viewing. The case also offers open access to all ports and controls, and can also be personalized with text or a graphic of the customer’s choosing. Vaja’s Leather Agenda case for the iPad is available in a wide range of color combinations and sells for $200 and up.

Javoedge intros Poppy, Kyoto, Fiber sleeves for iPad

Javoedge has introduced its new Poppy, Kyoto, and Fiber Sleeve Cases for the Apple iPad. Differing only in choice of outer fabrics, all three styles offers a soft interior lining, padded construction with elastic on the sides, and a top flap with magnetic closure. The Poppy and Kyoto sleeves feature floral designs, while the Fiber sleeve sports a carbon fiber pattern print; all three styles are available now and sell for $36.

CableJive rolls out dockXtender for iPod, iPad, iPhone

CableJive has rolled out its new dockXtender cable for the iPod, iPad, and iPhone. The dockXtender is a 30-pin male to female extension cable that allows full use of a docking product by the attached iPod, iPad, or iPhone from up to six feet away. Features supported by the dockXtender include listening to audio, watching video, charging, syncing, remote control, and any other function supported by the connected docking device. With custom-molded connector housings, the dockXtender can be used with most cases, covers, and skins, and also offers a 2-tier shielding system that puts all audio and video signals inside their own separate shielding to avoid interference from other signals traveling through the wire. CableJive’s two-foot dockXtender cable is available now and sells for $26; the six-foot models will go on sale at the end of the month and will be priced at $32.

LapWorks unveils Recliner stand for iPad

LapWorks has unveiled its new Recliner stand for the iPad and other e-reader devices. The Recliner features rubber cushioning at the bottom and top of the iPad area to prevent against scratches or dings, an adjustable rear support leg that allows for a variety of viewing angles, ABS plastic construction, and a silver and black color scheme. LapWorks’ Recliner stand for the iPad is available now and sells for $30.

Griffin announces new charging accessories for iPad

Griffin Technology has announced its latest charging accessories for the Apple iPad. The PowerJolt Plus is an in-vehicle charger featuring a connected, coiled 30-pin cable, a 2.1 amp charger, and a pass-through 12-volt accessory socket for connecting a second vehicle charger. It sells for $30; for more information on the PowerJolt Plus for iPad see our First Look article. The PowerJolt Micro is a more compact vehicle charger for iPad designed for travel, featuring a 2.1 amp charger, a USB port for charging not only iPads, iPhones, and iPods but other USB-charging devices as well, and an included 30-pin to USB cable. It sells for $25, as does the PowerJolt SE, a simple charger with an attached coiled 30-pin charging cable, a 2.1 amp charger, and an LED charging indicator ring. Finally, the PowerDuo for iPad is a combo pack including both the PowerBock wall charger and the standard PowerJolt car charger for $40. All of Griffin’s new chargers for the iPad are available now.

Case Closed debuts Wool Felt Sleeves for iPad

Case Closed has introduced its line of Wool Felt Sleeves for the Apple iPad. Handmade in England from 100% Grey or Black Wool Felt, these pocket-style cases offer elastic ties at the corners to keep the iPad securely inside, 3mm thick felt for cushioning, and come in either landscape or portrait designs. Available in a variety of color combinations, Case Closed’s Wool Felt Sleeves for the iPad are available now and sell for £23, or roughly $33.

Thought Out intros Stabile stand for iPad

Thought Out has introduced its new Stabile stand for the iPad. Weighing nearly four pounds, the Stabile stand is made from a single piece of solid steel, and works with iPads in both horizontal and vertical case, whether they’re bare or encased. Other features include a split back design for cable management, a 55 degree viewing angle, protective padding on the iPad rest, and anti-slip feet on the bottom. Thought Out’s Stabile stand for the iPad is available for pre-order now in black or silver and will ship in June for $60 and $70, respectively.

ProClip rolls out Holders for iPad

ProClip has rolled out its new line of device holders for the Apple iPad. The Holder with Tilt Swivel features a unique tilt swivel plate on the back of the holder that allows the user to tilt the iPad 15 degrees in any direction and swivels 360 degrees. It comes in black and sells for $50. Available in black or white, the Standard Holder and Monitor Mount also securely holds the iPad, but offers either horizontal or vertical mounting, and sells for $40. Both holder designs require a custom vehicle mount which is not included in the price.

Nedrelow unveils Simple Sleeve for iPad

Nedrelow has unveiled its new Simple Sleeve case for the iPad. Made from 100% German-made wool felt, the Simple Sleeve offers a form-fitting, square-cornered design that’s 3mm thick, with a single white tag on the edge the only branding. In addition, it comes in either a top loading or side loading design, meant to match the style of bag the iPad is going to be carried in. Nedrelow’s Simple Sleeve for iPad is available for pre-order now in orange, charcoal, or oatmeal, and ships in June for $29.

PropUp intros stand for iPad

PropUp has introduced its new PropUp stand for the Apple iPad. Made from high-quality, open cell foam, the PropUp features a curved back to enable it to serve as a stand for the iPad, as well as slightly flexible corners that grip the iPad while also allowing for use with iPads in low-profile cases. The PropUp stand for iPad is available for pre-order at a price of $25 and will begin shipping in July.
