Myvu has announced that its Myvu Crystal wearable video display has received “Works with iPhone” certification for both the original iPhone and iPhone 3G. Compatibility is provided via a new iPhone-compatible cable, which is now available on Myvu’s website for $25. Released this past May, Myvu Crystal features VGA resolution, Kopin’s CyberDisplay technology, a rechargeable battery with up to four hours of viewing time, earbuds from Ultimate Ears, a 35% increase in the field of view compared to previous Myvu models, and sells for $300.
ezGear has introduced its new ezView Leather Case for the iPhone 3G. Made from high quality leather, the case features a fold-aside front cover that doubles as a video stand thanks to an integrated Velcro band and two low-profile non-skid rubber feet to help prevent slippage. Other features include a slim profile, removable belt clip, credit/business card slots, and open access to all ports and controls. The ezGear ezView Leather Case for iPhone 3G is available now and sells for $35.
Vaja has announced two new Limited Edition cases for the iPhone 3G. Both the White and Black n’ Orange Limited Edition cases feature a flip-down front cover and are covered in Floater leather, a grainy cowhide with a unique texture and finish. As the names suggest, the White Limited Edition comes with a white Floater leather outer and logo-embossed white leather interior, while the Black n’ Orange offers a black Floater exterior with logo-embossed orange leather lining. Both cases offer full-time access to the headphone jack, sleep/wake and volume buttons, and the ring/silent switch. Pricing for the upcoming Vaja White and Black n’ Orange Limited Edition cases has yet to be announced.
ProClip has announced its new Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector for the iPhone 3G. Designed for use with the company’s vehicle mounts, the holder offers a pass-through connector on the bottom for attachment of dock-connecting cables, creating a docking station for the iPhone 3G and removing the need to plug and unplug the cable each time it’s connected. The holder can also swivel 360 degrees and tilt 15 degrees in any direction for optimal viewing. The ProClip Holder with Tilt Swivel and Pass-Through Connector for the iPhone 3G is available now and sells for $100.
Vaja has introduced its ivolution Stripes for iPhone 3G, its latest case for Apple’s second-generation handset. ivolution Stripes features a flip-down, reinforced leather design with three vertical stripes running down the front of the case, open access to the headphone jack, sleep/wake button, and camera, and flip-down access to the screen, home button, dock connector, speaker, and microphone. Vaja’s ivolution Stripes for iPhone 3G is available in a wide variety of user-customized colors, and sells for $110 and up.
Boomwave has introduced its new Funk series cases for the iPhone 3G. Available in “Muthaboard” or “Worldtribe” styles, each Funk case is made from high-grade silicone, and features open access to all ports and controls, a form-fitting design, and an included screen protector. The Muthaboard Funk cases are available in black, white, and army green and feature a circuit-style pattern placed around a cutout for the Apple logo on the rear, while the Worldtribe Funk cases feature a tribal pattern on the rear, and are available in black, turquoise, and midnight blue. All Boomwave Funk cases for the iPhone 3G are available now and sell for $20 each.
Griffin Technology has announced two new iPhone accessories at Apple Expo Paris. The AirCurve for iPhone and iPhone 3G is a unique clear polycarbonate acoustic amplifier designed to provide more powerful sound from the iPhone’s built-in speaker without the need for added electronics. It uses a coiled waveguide within its base, which can be plainly seen thanks to its clear construction, to amplify the sound, and also offers a pass-though slot to allow for charging and syncing of the iPhone while docked. It will sell for $20. Griffin also introduced the Clarifi for iPhone 3G, a new polycarbonate case featuring a built-in sliding close-up lens that enhances the macro and close-up functionality of the iPhone 3G’s built-in camera, allowing users to shoot crisp images from as little as four inches away from the subject. Other features include open access to all ports and controls, Griffin’s EasyDock slide-off bottom for docking, and a two-tone design. It will sell for $35. Both the Griffin AirCurve and Clarifi will be available in October.
Griffin Technology has announced several new accessories updated for the iPhone 3G. The WindowSeat automobile mount for iPhone and iPod touch now ships with a cradle for the iPhone 3G as well, while retaining its $30 price. The Reflect case for iPhone 3G is a polycarbonate shell with a reflective finish on the front edges and a matte black rubberized back, offering open access to all ports and controls. It includes a static-peel screen protector and cleaning cloth, and sells for $25. Griffin’s iClear for iPhone 3G is a clear polycarbonate snap-together case offering full access to all ports and controls and an included screen protector and cleaning cloth. It will be available for $20 for the case only, or in a package with a belt clip and armband for $30. The Streamline for iPhone 3G is a one-piece armband offering a clear, built-in full-face screen protector that allows for full control of the device, reflective trim for enhanced nighttime visibility, and a washable, breathable, two-way adjustable band. It sells for $20. Finally, the company has announced that its Wave case for iPhone 3G is now available in multi-color two-packs. Packs include green & black, pink & blue, pink & white, and blue & white, and sell for $35 each.

Icewear for iPhone 3G is a form-fitting clear case made from high-density silicone, and features ribbed sides for added grip and open access to all ports and controls. It sells for $25. Tuneshell for iPhone 3G is a clear, snap-on hard polycarbonate case featuring a smooth surface and open access to all ports and controls. It is priced at $25. Tuneshell Plus for iPhone 3G is another clear snap-on hard polycarbonate case, featuring a thickness of only 0.4mm and open access to all ports and controls. It sells for $30.
Tunewear’s Prie Ambassador for iPhone 3G is a open-face leather case with open access to all ports and controls and a removable metal clip. Available in black with either red or white stitching, gold, gold/white, or silver, it sells for $60. Leathershell for iPhone 3G is a form-fitting open-face leather case featuring a smooth texture, white contrast stitching, and open access to all ports and controls. It sells for $30. Finally, Tunefilm for iPhone 3G is a clear protective screen film and will be included with select cases such as the Prie Ambassador and Icewear for iPhone 3G. Separately, it sells for $15. The solo is a new form-fitting protector for the iPhone 3G, featuring integrated volume and power button protection, unobstructed access to all ports and controls, and a high-gloss finish with a non-slip grip surface. In addition, the case includes a touch compatible clear screen film protector. The iSkin solo for iPhone 3G is available now in black, white, translucent red, or translucent blue, and sells for $30.
OtterBox has released its new Defender Case for the iPhone 3G. The Defender uses three separate pieces to protect the iPhone: a clear polycarbonate screen protector offering chemical and abrasion protection, a hard polycarbonate “skeleton” that surrounds the device, and silicone skin that wraps around the skeleton, absorbing bumps and shock. The OtterBox iPhone 3G Defender Case also includes a ClipStand holster and is available now in black for $50.
Case-mate has introduced its new Vroom case for the iPhone 3G. Available in black only, Vroom is a form-fitting rubber case featuring a tire tread pattern on the back of the case, as well as open access to all ports and controls. The Case-mate Vroom for iPhone 3G is available now and sells for $15.
Shure has introduced its new SE102MPA Sound Isolating Mobile Headset, along with a new family of MPA-bundled headsets. The SE102MPA features Shure’s Dynamic MicroSpeakers, an MPA modular microphone/control cord attachment offering a low-profile VoicePort microphone and a button for call and music playback control, and an included zipper-less drawstring pouch and three pairs of soft flex sound isolating sleeves. Shure’s SE102MPA will sell for around $100. In addition, the company also announced its SE110MPA, SE210MPA, SE310MPA, SE420MPA and SE530MPA bundles, all of which include the MPA modular microphone attachment, and will be priced from $130-$470. Shure’s new line of MPA-bundled Sound Isolating Mobile Headsets will be available later this month.
SwitchEasy has introduced its new CapsuleNeo case for the iPhone 3G. Grantwood Technology has announced the release of its QuickFlipCase for iPhone and iPhone 3G. Marware has introduced its new Sidewinder Deluxe case for the iPhone 3G. The Sidewinder Deluxe combines a slim clear Flexi-Shell case and a rubberized snap-in holster featuring a detachable low-profile belt clip and a patented slide-out side arm cord management system. The Flexi-Shell case offers open access to all the iPhone’s ports and controls, while the snap-in holster offers compatibility with the Sport Grip for iPhone 3G as well as the included case. Sony has introduced three new iPod-ready car stereos. The CDX-GT630UI features the ability to connect directly to both iPods and iPhones via USB, and Passenger Control which allows passengers to control the connected device while being charged. Other features include front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs, a flip-down detachable faceplate, and a 13-segment, LCD with black LED display. The CDX-GT430IP comes with a 1.5 meter cable featuring a 30-pin connector to provide full menu control and charging for iPod. It too offers Passenger Control, as well as a black LED screen and front and rear/sub preamp outputs. Finally, the CDX-GT330 offers compatibility with the $50 XA-120IP adapter to allow for charging and head unit control of iPods. Sony’s CDX-GT630UI, CDX-GT430IP and CDX-GT330 head units all include a wireless remote control, and will sell for $160, $130, and $100, respectively, when they go on sale in September.
ION has introduced its new CarbonFiber Leather Shell for the iPhone 3G. The open faced case features a hard shell wrapped in premium leather, with an exposed stripe of carbon fiber running down the center of the case’s rear. It offers open access to the iPhone’s touch screen and home button, volume and power buttons, ringer/silent switch, and headphone and Dock Connector ports. Available in white, black, or grey, the ION CarbonFiber Leather Shell for iPhone 3G is available now and sells for $80.
Speck Products has announced that it is now shipping its SeeThru case for the iPhone 3G. Originally announced in June, SeeThru for iPhone 3G is a hard shell case with built-in rubberized side strips for extra grip and a specially designed bottom that slides off for docking and conveniently doubles as a horizontal stand. It also offers full access to all ports and controls. Speck’s SeeThru case for the iPhone 3G is available now in purple, pink, red, clear, or black, and sells for $30.
