MadsonLine Releases iPod Jogging Pack

MadsonLine has released a Neoprene waist pack for joggers/bikers and fits all iPod models. The Jogging Pack is on sale at an introductory price of $28.

Think Different Store and eXo iSkin info

The Think Different Store wanted to clear up some rumors that have been floating around about the shipping of the eXo iSkins. Currently they are shipping the following colors (Click ‘Read more’) without the screen protectors. The screen protectors will be shipped separately sometime in August. New colors will be shipping each week.

Dr. Bott naviPod for Original iPod Ships

I received an email today that the naviPod wireless remote is shipping, though the website remains “Preorder, shipping July.”

Vaja Releases New Classic Case for 3G iPod

picVaja has officially released information on its new leather Classic cases for 3G iPods. Featuring snap closure, screen protector, interior storage slot (for credit cards, license, etc.), and an all access design, the flip-top cases are available in two different exterior styles. Models 669 and 667 fit 30GB iPods while the 668 and 665 models fit 10/15GB iPods. Visit the website for information on custom built orders and complete pricing.

Vaja Announces Classic iPod Case for 3G iPod

pic Vaja has announced to iLounge that they will release their new Classic case for 3G iPods tomorrow. The Classic leather case features a flip-lid design, access to all iPod functions, screen protector, snap closure, and comes in two models for 10/15GB and 30GB. Both models retail for $54.90 and can be purchased tomorrow, Thursday, July 24.

Belkin TuneDok Car Holder for iPod

pic Belkin has posted information about a new car holder called the TuneDok. This is the same iPod holder as being sold in the VW iPod connectivity kit for the ‘Pods Unite’ promotion. The TuneDok features ‘AirGrip’ technology (suction cup) for secure placement, a large and small rubber base plus adapter cup for exact fit in a cup holder, cable management system, and comes with a 3 year warranty. The TuneDok fits all iPod models and retails for $29.99, but is not yet available. Update: The TuneDoc is expected to ship September 15.

New iTrip for 3G iPods Delayed

After sending an inquiry, I was met with this tragic news from Griffin Technology tech support.

“Hello, The new iTrip has been pushed back to the end of August.”

Creative announces I-Trique L3450 speakers

pic Creative has announced the I-Trique L3450 all-white 2.1 speaker system featuring 2 amplifiers, one each dedicated to the Lateral Firing Transducer driver, and 2 Titanium micro drivers, Audio Control Pod for volume, auxiliary line-in, headphones jack, Power on/off and bass control. The L3450 is priced at $149.99 and is expected to ship next month.

Creative announces all white I-Trigue speakers

pic Creative has released an all white I-Trigue 2.1 i3350 80 watt speaker system to complement the iPod, iMac and/or iBook. The I-Trigue features; (1) 25 watt RMS subwoofer with 6.5” long-throw driver with a dual flared port tube, (2) satellite speakers with three titanium drivers and a wired remote power/volume/bass control with a headphone jack. The I-Trigue retails for $99.99 [corrected from $149.99].

Booq releases PodPaq case for 3G iPods

pic Booq has released a new iPod case called PodPaq. Made of ballistic nylon and trimmed in nappa leather, the PodPaq features a snap closure flap lined in Neoprene and sides made of Neoprene. It’s only made for 15 and 30GB iPods. The case also has a quick release belt clip and access to all of iPod’s functions. PodPaq retails for $39.50, is in-stock and will ship July 22nd.

Griffin Announces RadioSHARK and iFire

Update: Griffin has informed us that they plan to incorporate a one-click ‘transfer to iPod’ button in the software which controls the RadioSHARK.

Want to record your favorite radio show and take it with you on your iPod? Griffin Technology has developed the RadioSHARK AM-FM radio for OS X that can record AM, FM or Internet radio to your hard disk in AIFF format. You can then transfer the AIFF file to your iPod for listening on-the-go. The RadioSHARK features similar technology used in TiVo known as ‘time-shift’ recording which allows you to “pause a live broadcast and then return to it moments, or even hours later and continue from where you left off. You can also schedule a recording to happen while you’re away and then listen to the show at a later time.” The RadioSHARK is available for pre-ordering for $49.99 and is expected to ship at end of summer 2003.

Also announced is the iFire Amplifier and Adaptor which allows any computer with FireWire to use Apple’s Pro Speakers, including iPod. The iFire is also available for preorder for $39.99 and is expected to ship end of summer. You can see both products first-hand at booth number #240 at Macworld NY.

SendStation announces PocketDock FireWire-to-iPod

picGerman based SendStation has developed the PocketDock, a standard 6-pin FireWire cable to docking iPod adapter. The tiny device allows you to utilize exisiting accessories such as car chargers for old iPods. PocketDock is available for pre-order at $16.95 and is expected to ship at the end of July.

iPod Skins and iSport cases now shipping

Speck Products had recently announced new iPod Skins, iSport and Flip-Stand cases for new iPods. Today the new iPod Skins and iSport cases are now shipping. The iPod Skin ($18.95) is a case similar to popular Silicone cases, but the iPod Skin is made from DynaFlex elastomer plastic and one size fits all new iPod models (10, 15 and 30GB). A flip-lid on the bottom of the case allows access to the FireWire port for syncing or charging. The iSport ($44.95) is a belt case made for active users, provides extra pouches for storage of small items and also features a safety light for increased visibitly day or night. Also note that Speck Products’ new, all-clear, Flip-Stand hardcase/stand ships July 22nd and costs $29.95.

Engineered Audio Releases RemoteRemote for 3G iPod

pic Engineered Audio has announced a wireless remote for use with 3G iPods. The RemoteRemote uses RF technology to remotely send commands to iPod via its 5 button transmitter. Each button controls either Play/Pause, Next Track, Previous Track, Volume Up, or Volume Down. The RemoteRemote can transmit up to 100ft radius. The reciever unit plugs into the iPod earphone port, requires no batteries and draws power from the iPod. RemoteRemote costs $34.99 and is expected to ship in late summer. Support for older iPod models is coming soon.

New 3G iPod accessories from Power Support

pic Power Support Japan has been busy developing new accessories for 3G iPods. Included in the new lineup is; the new Silicone Jacket (a.k.a Groove Jacket), Wheel Film for protecting the touch wheel, Crystal Film for protecting the LCD display, Simple Stand all aluminum stand, iPod Stand for use in your cars’ drink holder, the Fix Stand for use in the car or home with adjustable viewing angle and a Line Out extension cable. Though none of the items are yet available for shipping to U.S. residents, we suspect most items will start to appear at various online U.S. retailers in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted with the latest.

iSee 3G Case Coming Soon

Contour Design, makers of the popular iSee clear case will be releasing a new version of the iSee later this year.  Unfortunately no pictures have been posted but hopefully iLounge can squeeze a prototype of the case from Contour. Can’t wait to check this out!

Apple discontinues old iPod remote

I discovered today that Apple has discontinued the remote for previous model iPods. After my remote cable twisted I decided to call the Apple store today to order a new one. A very apologetic representative informed me that it had been discontinued and the new remote was incompatible with the old iPod. I was told that I could use any earphones with my iPod, but no longer use a remote.

MacMice Announces the GPerch for iPod

pic MacMice, the company behind the DVBase and PodPerch stand designs are at it again. This time they have announced an all aluminum stand for all iPod models, and the design pays homage to the recently released Apple Power Mac G5. The GPerch is priced at $39.99 and is now available for pre-order. Shipping is expected to start July 15th.

“The perforated aluminum cradle inside the GPerch is CNC pattern punched. The outer frame is CNC laser cut and then precisely formed to shape on a CNC press brake. The final fabrication process is the delicate spot welds used to attach the cradle to the frame.”

Vaja announces new Classic cases for dock iPods

pic Vaja has announced the new Classic 665 and 667 cases which have been redesigned to accomodate new dock iPods. Both cases feature flip-top leather design, snap closure, screen protector, padded lining, optional belt clip, headphone access, and FireWire access. The Classic 665 fits 10 and 15GB iPods, while the Classic 667 fits 30GB iPods. Both cases start at $34.90 (w/o belt clip) and are available for pre-order. Custom cases start at $54.90 with options for embossing, color combos, lining, etc.
