Mac: NNW Subscription to iPod Contacts 1.6 released

Doug’s AppleScripts for iTunes has updated “NNW Subscription to iPod Contacts”, an AppleScript that copies selected news Subscriptions from the NetNewsWire RSS reader in vCard format to the Contacts folder of any mounted iPod.

Mac|Linux: Freemymusic released - copy music from iPod to computer

More and more programs become available for copying your iPod’s music to your computer, but most programs also contain alot of iTunes functions. Why work with a bloatwear program if you’ve got iTunes? Raymond at Phonax.com created Freemymusic, a little application to copy music from your iPod to your Mac or to your computer running Linux.

Mac: iPod It 2.4.1 released

With iPod It you can take all your important information with you. Your Entourage events, e-mail and notes can be exported to your iPod and are available whenever you need them. Going on a trip? Download a forecast of the city you’re visiting. And don’t stop there; download directions so you know how to get around once you get there.

If Then Software releases the “iPod ActionPak”

If Then Software presents the “iPod ActionPak,” which is 3 great utilities for your iPod ($9.95). The ActionPak includes “Pod2Pod” which exactly duplicates the entire contents of one iPod to another, “Note2Pod,” which is a full-featured note manager for your iPod, and “iPod Battery Monitor,” which allows you to chart and track the progress of your iPod battery with the ability to save the report to the iPod, print it or send it to an eMail address. iPod Battery Monitor will also change your battery indicator to a numerical value for more accuracy during testing. Mac|Windows|Linux: iPodder under development

iPodder automatically downloads new mp3 files when they become available from any of five sources (you can change these if you wish) and copies them to playlists in iTunes based on the channel name. If you have an iPod, connecting it to your computer will load the songs automatically. This software is currently under development as a SourceForge project.

Mac: iPodDownload 1.0 released

This free iTunes plugin allows you to download tracks from your iPod to your iTunes library.

Mac: iPod.iTunes 2.6.6 released

iPod.iTunes gives the choice to synchronize tracks, playlists or both - automatically with one click, or manually. A ‘manual mode’ creates a list of iPod tracks not in iTunes, and allows to copy desired tracks from that list. With every synchronization iPod.iTunes creates a date&time stamped iTunes playlist containing the tracks which were copied. This gives the option to easily add those tracks to existing playlists or to create new ones from the transferred tracks.

Mac: Podtender 1.0 released - drink recipes on your iPod

Podtender is an iPod based mixed drink database with over 900 recipes. It was created for the iPod owner who would like to have another use for their iPod. If you’re at a bar, party or restaurant and the bartender doesn’t know how to mix a requested drink, then pull out your iPod with Podtender and look it up. Or you could be the bartender mixing drinks with Podtender on your iPod jamming to your tunes. Podtender uses the iPod Notes feature to read the database.
