Mactracker provides detailed information on every Apple, Motorola, PowerComputing, and UMAX Mac OS computer ever made, including items such as processor speed, memory, optical drives, graphic cards, supported Mac OS versions, and expansion options. Also included is information on Apple mice, keyboards, displays, printers, scanners, digital cameras, iPod, AirPort Base Stations, Newtons, and Mac OS versions. Mactracker for iPod brings Mactracker’s database to Apple’s iPod through the Notes feature. Mactracker for iPod requires Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later and an iPod (Dock Connector) with iPod Software 2.0 or later or any iPod mini.

“Synch iPod-iTunes Data” synchronizes select data between your iPod and iTunes. The data that can be synchronized are “Date Last Played”, “Play Count”, “Rating” and “Comments”. The data can be transferred from iPod to iTunes or the reverse, or can be synchronized between the two. This application is designed for people who manually manage their iPod playlists.

Unsanity has just released a safe way to theme Mac OS X, and of the two bundled themes, one is an iPod one. While I have a 2nd gen iPod, this theme is based on a 3rd gen model, however I installed it and hey guess what i now want for Christmas - deeper pockets to start with.

Manage your iPod with the Finder! The first time you run PodMonkey it moves all of your music files out of the iPod’s hidden folder, out to where you can get at them.  When you make changes—copy files in, move them around, delete them—just run PodMonkey again to synchronize your iPod to the Finder: your MP3 files appear on your iPod, more or less as if you’d imported them with a certain bloated and clunky (and metal—ugh!) iApp.
