Windows: eyeJamz 1.0 released

eyeJamz 1.0 is a new Windows utility that allows users to: “easily download Album cover art, click on Albums to play them, attach Album cover art to iTunes, synch your iPod photo to display Album art as you play, control iTunes from eyeJamz and enjoy the synergy of two great programs working together.” eyeJamz sells for $11.99, and works with Windows XP and Windows 2000.

Windows: iPod-TV 1.0 released

iPod-TV is a Windows application that allows you to put up to a weeks worth of television listings on your iPod. The free software automatically downloads the TV information from the web and allows you to easily upload the data onto your iPod.

Windows: XPlay gets iPod shuffle support

Mediafour has released XPlay 2.1, which adds support for the iPod shuffle and all USB-connected iPods under Windows 98SE and Me. “Now, everything that made XPlay easy to use with the iPod makes it just as clear with the iPod shuffle,” says the developer. “You can move music to and from your iPod with the powerful drag-and-drop interface; copy music from your iPod to your hard drive; revise and reorder playlists; use your iPod shuffle like an external hard drive; listen to your music through Winamp, Musicmatch, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer and most other popular software; plus take advantage of other powerful XPlay features.”

Windows: iPod Access 2.2 released

iPod Access 2.2 from Findley Designs is the latest version of the Windows utility that enables you to copy songs from your iPod back to your computer. Version 2.2 brings the ability to limit iPod Search with the “Assign Drive Letter” utility, and the ability to delete the Preference file for troubleshooting. iPod Access for Windows is available for $14.99.

Windows: MarkAble 0.2.2 Beta released

MarkAble 0.2.2 Beta ($15) from iPodSoft allows you to convert longer MP3 or AAC files into bookmarkable m4b files. “MarkAble merges selected files, instructs iTunes to perform an AAC conversion on the merged file(s), renames the files from the AAC conversion m4a to m4b to make bookmarkable, writes the converted file into your iTunes Music folder, and adds the converted files to the iTunes Library, now in a bookmarkable format.”

MoviPod movie guide released for iPods

PocketSensei has announced the first VideoHound MoviPod module for the iPod—MoviPod Academy Award Winners. The software puts an extensive movie guide on your iPod. “MoviPod offers reviews of Academy Award winners from 1927 to the present day with witty reviews, comprehensive filmographical facts, and entertaining trivia questions. Additional features include: extensive hyperlinks, easy one-click navigation and even insider notes revealing behind-the-scenes fun facts. Additional modules based upon VideoHound categories bring VideoHound’s unique and entertaining collections to the iPod. Windows: iPodSync 2.24 released

iPodSync 2.24 is the latest version of the Windows tool to keep Microsoft Outlook calendar, contact, tasks and notes synchronized between a PC and iPod. This update adds category filtering to notes, web movie syncing, advanced configuration options to allow PIM file names to be modified, and a PowerPoint exporter utility for iPod photo.

Windows: Memeo for iPod released

Data backup software maker Tanagra has announced an iPod version of its flagship product, Memeo. The software expands the capabilities of an iPod beyond managing music files to include access to e-mail, calendars and other personal files, while at the same time backing up your work.

“iPod users can use Memeo to catch up on their latest e-mails, review notes, check schedules, look up contacts and have their latest files and digital photos with them wherever they go,” says Tanagra. “Once the users have selected what files they want Memeo to keep track of, it will automatically update anything on the iPod along with new music selections each time the device is plugged in.”

Memeo for iPod, which requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP, is available as a free download for a limited time.

iPod Access 2.0 from Findley Designs is the latest version of the Windows utility that enables you to copy songs from your iPod back to your Mac. Version 2.0 brings the ability to add songs directly into iTunes, Playlist Cloning support, an option to customize application window color, improved Copy Progress Status, and an updated Esellerate engine. iPod Access for Windows is available for $14.99.

Replay Music records streaming music

Applian Technologies has introduced its new Replay Music, which records streaming music (from both subscription music services and online radio stations), splits songs into individual MP3s, and tags each file with the artist, title, genre and album name using Gracenote’s MusicID song recognition technology. Replay Music, which is only available for Windows users, is priced at $49.95.

Windows: iPik 1.0 released

iPik 1.0 is a new Windows program that enables you to synchronize a variety of data to your ipod, such as your Microsoft Outlook emails and contacts, localized weather reports, RSS (XML) newsfeeds, and the content of “practically any webpage.” iPik, which is priced at $5.95, also lets you transfer formatted text files, regular files and entire directories.

Windows: Anapod Reinitializer 1.0

Anapod Reinitializer 1.0 is a free Windows utility for reformatting and reinitializing your iPod. Its function is equivalent to the Restore button in the Apple iPod Updater utility. Anapod Reinitializer runs on all versions of Windows, enabling Windows 98/ME users (who cannot use Apple’s software because it only runs on 2000/XP) to format their iPods.

Windows: iPodSync 2.22 released

iPodSync 2.22 is the latest version of the Windows tool to keep Microsoft Outlook calendar, contact, tasks and notes synchronized between a PC and iPod. This update adds a new file synchronization functionality, new RSS interface, improved progress display, and the ability to write to an iPod using unicode file format.

Windows: iSounder 1.6 released

iSounder 1.6 is the latest version of the Windows software that aids in using your iPod to karaoke. Version 1.6 brings the ability to edit the content of an iPod directly; multi-library support; the ability to sync the database and songs from an iPod back to the computer; and auto sync in-and-out both ways in an iPod.

iPod Access 1.1 from Findley Designs is the latest version of the Windows utility that allows users to transfer music files from an iPod back to a computer. The free update fixes “No Disk in Drive” errors, fixes a bug where the last song in the Library would not display in Playlists, includes an updated Esellerate engine, and offers improved documentation.

Windows: Anapod Explorer 8.6.5 released

Anapod Explorer 8.6.5 from Red Chair Software is the latest version of the iPod utility for Windows. This release includes improvements to two of Anapod’s Maintenance utilities, “Recover Missing Tracks” and “Fix Mislabeled Tracks.”  Handling of track and disc numbers has been fixed, sorting issues have been resolved, additional fields are now processed, and enhancements have been made to iTunes Music Store track handling.

Windows: Migo for iPod free trial available

PowerHouse Technologies has released a 15-day trial version of Migo for iPod. “Use Migo for iPod to view your personal email, files, browser settings, desktop and more,” explains the company. “With one click, your desktop is displayed, allowing you to work on the computer as if it were your own. When you return to your own computer, changes are automatically updated. Stop emailing files to yourself. Don’t worry about remembering which version of a file you have, or keeping two computers in sync. Migo for iPod gives you have everything you need just the way you want it.” Migo requires a 4G iPod or iPod mini and Windows 2000/XP.

Windows: XPlay Photo Browser for iPod photo debuts

Mediafour, makers of MacDrive and XPlay, today announced the release of XPlay Photo Browser, new Windows 2000/XP software that enables iPod photo owners to browse photos, save photos and view slideshows directly from their iPods. XPlay Photo Browser also includes a screensaver that automatically displays an iPod photo slideshow. The software is available as a free download.

Windows: Anapod Explorer 8.6.4 released

Anapod Explorer 8.6.4 from Red Chair Software is the latest version of the iPod utility for Windows. This update adds the ability to install Griffin iTrip Stations onto your iPod via Anapod Explorer. Improvements have also been made to streaming playback performance, Xtreamer security, and MP3 tag handling.

Windows: GoogleGet 1.3.1 released

GoogleGet is a small program designed to download the latest news and weather information from Google News (or a local variation) and WeatherRoom.com. This version fixes a problem that prevented GoogleGet from connecting to Google News as well as adding weather info support, iPod auto-detection and many other new features.
