Windows: Anapod Explorer 8.6.3 released

Anapod Explorer 8.6.3 from Red Chair Software is the latest version of the iPod utility for Windows. This update provides basic compatibility with the new features of the iPod Photo, and will properly preserve album art associations transferred by iTunes.

Windows: XPlay 2.0.11 released

Mediafour has released an update to XPlay 2, its software that enables Windows users to connect with both Mac and PC iPods, and the only retail product that makes iPods compatible with Windows 98SE and Me. XPlay 2.0.11 is compatible with Windows Media Player 10, plus supports updating and restoring all iPods with the latest iPod software releases. Additionally, XPlay 2.0.11 works with the new iTunes 4.7.

Windows: Pod Player 1.2 released

Pod Player (formerly MyPodPlayer) is a freeware application to carry on your iPod. You can play your music on any computer when you iPod is connected without the need to install any programs such as iTunes. When launched, it will look for an attached iPod and when it finds one it will read the music database on the iPod. You will then be able to views your songs in a similar way as in iTunes (by artist, genre, album, playlist, etc). You can now also extract songs from it. There are a few little extra features such as iPod Hacks, checking for duplicates etc. There is no installation, just an independent program.

Windows: iPodSync 2.21 released

View your Outlook Contacts, Calendars, Tasks and Notes on your iPod. iPodSync is a tool for Windows users to keep your Microsoft Outlook calendar and contact information synchronized between your PC and your iPod.

Windows: euPOD PRO 1.6 released

euPOD PRO (aka euPOD Volumeboost) is a small tool that will increase your iPod volume in a few seconds! This is handy for people using mp3gain or for European iPods with volume restriction.

Windows: RemoteAmp 2.0 released

After almost two years without a release, we are pleased to announce that RemoteAmp 2.0 is now available. RemoteAmp is a Pocket PC remote control for Apple’s iTunes for Windows and Nullsoft’s Winamp media players. It operates over any network connection and acts as a supercharged remote interface for your entire music library, allowing users to control playback, edit playlists and much more - all from the palm of their hand.

Windows: iPod Control 1.0 released

iPodControl is for people who use their iPod on multiple computers (like me who switches between Mac and PC twice a day). For some reason, iTunes saves it’s local preferences on the iPod—making them not local. This means that if you have your music library on one computer, and use the other computer just to play the music, you’ll constantly be threatened that iTunes is about to destroy all your music. Obviously not cool.

Among other things, iPodControl fixes this problem by providing a launcher for iTunes which keeps track of your local preferences—updating them for you when you launch iTunes, then restoring them to their previous state when you quit or dismount the iPod.

Windows: CopyPod 4.0 released

CopyPod allows to backup - copy - transfer iPod Music to your PC. Ideal to make a secure backup of the iPod, to move your iPod Music between computers, to backup the iPod before sending it for repair.

Windows: myTunes Redux 1.0 released

myTunes Redux is a program that allows you to download music made available by iTunes. It allows you to search everything on the network at once, live, and works with all versions of iTunes (from 4.1 through 4.6).

This program will most likely only work on Windows XP. No mac version exists and I’m not making one, so stop asking.

Windows: iStory Creator 3.3 beta released

The iStory Creator is an application made to help people create their very own iPod Text Adventure Games. It allows people with absolutely no html or coding experience be able to contribute games for the iPod that are both fun and detailed. Basically, iStories are Text Games that have a plot line and then when certain things happen in the story, the user can make choices that effect how the story progresses. This can lead to games that are similar to RPG’s, Quiz Games, and basically anything you can think of doing with a text based game. The iStories are very similar to a “Choose your own ending” type of novel and will make for some great entertainment.

Windows: SyncITBaby 1.3 released

Whether you are a student, a small business owner, or a traveling executive, it’s difficult to stay current with your latest files and data. E-mail, documents, spread- sheets, databases, and media files tend to get revised many times a day. SyncITBaby provides the ability to keep all of those files synchronized and up to date on your hard drive and a portable device, allowing you to move your data between computers with ease.

Windows: iRemote 1.9 released - customize your iTunes interface

iRemote allows you to control iTunes through a completely skinnable interface, using global hotkeys, and even a DeskBar which allows you to have the control in your taskbar! It has a keyboard shortcuts manager to make it easier to change keyboard shortcuts. The interface and the way iRemote works can be completely customized through the use of skins.

Windows: iArt 2.0 released

iArt is a freeware program that can be used to download album art for your iTunes library. It allows you to choose what playlist (or your library) to get album art for. You can then choose exactly what tracks you want music for, and then iArt will download covers for your music from Amazon! This program depends on your tags so having good tags usually gets better results. However, iArt will also work with music with missing tags, as long as the artist tag is there, it can attempt to find a match!

iCountdown beta for Windows released

iCountdown is a program for Windows that sits in your system tray and querys the Apple iTunes site for an updated total of downloads. When you hover your mouse over the icon it shows you the total. “I got the idea for the program from Brian (http://counter.eklektion.org/) who created a Mac program like iCountdown. I wouldn’t have thought of writing my own version had it not been for adamh and todd2fs4u who posted comments asking for a windows version of Brian’s 100MilCounter.”

Windows: Tag&Rename 3.1 released

Tag&Rename is a music organizer that easily handles all popular digital audio formats. It supports mp3 (all ID3 tags), mp4 (m4a, m4p), wma, ogg, mpc, flac, ape, wav pack & optim frog. With Tag&Rename, you can fix tags using freedb database, import album info from allmusic.com, get tags data from files and folders names, organize music files and folders, create play lists, export information to CSV, HTML, XML, text and more.

Winning the iTunes 100 million song contest

PC users can use a cool web script that displays the current tally, and Mac users can download an even cooler desktop widget for use with the increasingly popular application Konfabulator. Windows: Canto Pod 1.0 released - download song lyrics to iPod

Canto (greek for singing) Pod, is our latest application which allows users to search and download thousands of song lyrics right to there Contacts section on there iPod. Canto Pod also links directly to the iTunes music store, so while your searching for lyrics with our software, we give you a link to view the same song (or album) in iTunes! Canto Pod works for all iPods and requires Windows.

Windows: SharePod 1.7 released

Hi, Ive written a new windows program called SharePod, which allows you to easily share your music with friends who may not have an iPod, and therefore no Ephpod or similar installed. It also allows you to do P2P type music sharing straight from the iPod over a network, we use it at work. Free VB source is also available to download.
