Refurb 8GB, 16GB iPhones back in stock at AT&T
AT&T now has refurbished 8GB and 16GB model iPhones back in stock, after a brief sellout last week. The phones come complete with a one-year warranty, free shipping, and all the standard iPhone pack-ins, including a dock, USB power adapter, stereo headset, and more. The 8GB model sells for $249, while the 16GB model runs $349. The refurbished phones are available while supplies last and are limited to one per customer, per household. [via TUAW]

Do I have to sign a 2 year contract w/ AT&T to get this deal?

strange. apparently pointing out that iphones have been keeping data on them after a refurb (potentially opening up your data for someone else to get) is taboo. or maybe it was that I included a link. Well...know that that’s true, and also know that there is a way to thwart anyone getting your iphone after you: manually transfer 3 playlists with enough songs to completely overwrite your memory. You can find info on the goog.

No, there are no contract to sign unless you activate it through iTunes.
