This looks like a great deal with free shipping and no tax, but does anybody know if Dell offers a warranty for the iPod? I’d like to get a 2 or 3 year warranty since the last portable jukebox I owned (archos) died in 6 months.

i don’t think dell has any extended warranty options.
FWIW, i bought mine last week using a stackable coupon for $378 including a “free set of 25 CD-Rs”*
be on the lookout for these stackable coupons. they had one as recently as yesterday so that you could have paid just 375 for the ipod ($30 stackable for a purchase over $400)
* i had to buy a $9.95 pack of CD-Rs get over the 450 limit which gave me an additional $40 coupon. (449-10%-40 + cost of CDRs)

I saw CompUSA’s website has the 30GB iPod listed for $433. I guess I’ll just try to go to my local Best Buy, since they claim to match prices, and get an extended warranty through them…(they still have their 30gb listed as $499, even though its sitting right next to a 40gb one at the same price)

yeah - best buy ‘s warranty is pretty good - I broght my 2nd gen 20gb back because of its “headphone jack problem” and got a 30gb in its place. and my original warranty continued!

I figure if I play my cards right, this is an incredibly sweet deal. I could sell my 15 gig,and use it to finance my upgrade to the 30.I could then take my receipt in to buy an extended TAP from CompUsa or Best Buy which would allow me to ugrade to the 4G Ipod when that becomes available. This is so totally win-win all the way around.

Where does one lookout for these stackable coupons? I’d love to get in on a deal like this!

best place to lookout for stackable coupons at dell (and all their other sales) is http://www.techbargains.com
it, of course, requires, daily checking…but that’s what i did after knowing i wanted to get an ipod.

Thanks Derek, Dell has a $35 stackable coupon today in addition to 10% off. As Paul Harvey would say “And now for the rest of the story”. Dell has no iPod’s listed on the WEB site. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!.........
