Mix: Apple Stores, Steve Jobs, Judge Judy, Amazon/TiVo
Apple’s new retail store designs will add more show room for iPods and Macs, and will also feature iPod Bars. The iPod Bars have until now only been in a few Apple Stores. According to Ron Johnson, head of Apple’s retail operations, they will now be standard features in all stores.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs is ranked 49th, with a net worth of $4.9 billion, on this year’s Forbes 400 list of the richest people in America. Last year, Jobs was 67th on the list. [via MacDailyNews]
Judge Judy may resolve a legal dispute over a missing iPod. The Chicago Tribune reports: “Two Waubonsie Valley High School parents who each blame the other’s daughter for the missing iPod have been contacted by representatives of the Judge Judy show.”
Amazon.com is reportedly in discussions with TiVo about launching a feature that would allow users to automatically transfer online movie purchases from Amazon’s Unbox service to their TiVo DVR boxes. Much like Apple’s iTV, “the deal, if completed, could be a key step toward bridging the gap between the home computer and the television set,” says the NY Post.

I don’t get what they mean: “Apple’s new retail store designs will add more show room for iPods and Macs”
The store at The Grove already has probably 40% of its space dedicated exclusively to iPods, there’s an iPod next to every computer, and when it’s really busy there a guy walks around with a handheld scanner to take credit card purchases for iPods on the spot.
The rest of the store is probably 40% Macs, 10% Software and 10% Genius Bar.
Seriously, how much more of the store can be dedicated to iPods and Macs? There’s nothing else really there now?

If case of the stolen iPod goes to Judge Judy, I wonder if episodes will start showing up on the iTunes Store…

Wasnt there some mother on here awhile back who mentioned her daughters ipod stolen, and it had to do with some other girl? lol. Is it the same lady? haha, prob not.
