It could be that the staff of ilounge is Jewish. Or they could be atheists. Or a mix of religious/nonreligious. It seems people are assuming that they are Christians hiding behind political correctness. If Christmas is not their only holiday and not their audience’s only holiday then why should they wish Merry Christmas? It seems like the “political correctness” bogeyman is being dragged out on this board by people with a chip on their shoulder. I’m not offended when someone wishes me Merry Christmas, but as a Jewish raised atheist I’m much more respectful of a person wishing me a happy Hanukkah (because they know my background) or Happy Holidays (acknowledging that I could be of many backgrounds) or even asking me what I celebrate!
