ABC Family using iTunes Music Store to launch ‘Kyle XY’
ABC Family is using the iTunes Music Store to help promote the premiere of its new series “Kyle XY”. Beginning on June 20, iTunes users will be able to download the pilot show for free—six days before it makes its debut on TV. After June 27, episodes of “Kyle XY” will be available for $1.99 per episode. Multichannel reports: “An ABC Family spokeswoman said current plans call for the broadcast network to repurpose the first four episodes of the series, which follows the journey of Kyle (Matt Dallas), a mysterious teenage savant who is devoid of such human instinctive behavior as anger, joy and love, and the family who found him, four days after they premiere on the cable service.”

Well I hope it doesn’t turn out to be like that “free” episode of Drawn Together, which ended up not being free when it was released on the ITMS.

It’s an “ABC Family Original”- They’ll be lucky if they can give it away.
