AOL and Apple Unite for Music

“Apple® and America Online, Inc., the world’s leading interactive services company, today announced an alliance to provide instant, one-click registration to the iTunes® Music Store for AOL’s more than 25 million U.S. members starting later this quarter. America Online will integrate links to iTunes artists, albums and songs throughout its leading music site, AOL Music, which will give members the option to link directly to the specific iTunes Music Store page to preview and buy music as they browse and read music news and reviews.”

Smart move, team up with AOL/Time Warner. Too bad their internet service is less than bad.

I think that the team-up is a very smart move. I would also hope that Time Warner take advantage of their incredibly deep catalogue(especially the out of print stuff)and put it on I-tunes,and not just focus on the latest(and in some cases, not so great).
I’m with stasyna-I have a slightly better opinion of them, but as a subscriber, they still suck in a major kinda way.

Two flies in the UK ointment - No European iTunes Music Store and bad luck if you are a Mac AOL user - no Broadband service available.
