Apple airs new Coldplay iPod + iTunes TV spot
Apple has begun airing a new iPod + iTunes TV ad. The new spot features the English rock band Coldplay playing the song “Viva La Vida” off the upcoming album of the same name. Expanding on Apple’s traditional silhouette-style, the new ad features the band lit with a slight silhouette effect in front of a dark background with brightly-colored effects. The ad is now available for viewing at apple.com/itunes.

I caught the new Apple/Coldplay commercial for the first time, last night, during American Idol. I knew instantly that it was a commercial for iTunes, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. I thought it looked great and excited me for the new Coldplay release. The song and performance blended perfectly with the iTunes style. I definitely enjoyed the ad.

Never have I been amazed by a commerical.. I think it was an awesome commerical and almost mind-blowing to me.. I had forgotten how much of a good band Coldplay was. I haven’t listened to their band that much, but this’ll definately be my next purchase.
