The first new item Apple CEO, Steve Jobs introduced to the audience attending the Apple|U2 Music Event was a “revolutionary” new product for the iPod. iPod Socks is a boxed collection of carrying cases for iPods. Each box includes six colors; green, blue, grey, orange, pink, and aqua. iPod Socks will be available in mid-November for $29.

In case you were wondering, I will be buying some socks, as theyre exactly what I want in a case. You dont have to struggle to use the iPod in it, or hide its good looks from everyone. All it does is protect it when you chuck it in your bag. Genius. Makes me wonder why I didnt think of it in the first place.

I can’t believe everybody on this forum actually believes this is real. It was used as comic relief - a completely tongue-in-cheek joke. The 29 dollars went along with this, as did the various colors (poking fun at imacs). The fact that most people here are getting excited or whinging about the new ipod socks is really embarassing.
