Apple offers 30 free songs with AirPort Express
The online Apple Store is now offering 30 free iTunes Music Store downloads with the purchase of the company’s $129 AirPort Express. The device will ship with a coupon that you can redeem on the store.
The Mac and Windows PC compatible AirPort Express allows you to wirelessly play music from your iTunes library to any home stereo. It also lets you easily create an 802.11g wireless network, extend an existing network, or share a USB printer with several computers.

that’s a pretty good marketing tool. it’s worth $30 to the person who buys it, but it probably only costs apple $10-$15 to pay off the fees and royalties. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple started shipping a lot of their products with iTMS give-aways. This is definitely a step up from the 16 songs you get with a new iPod because you can download what you want. I would have much rather gotten 10 free songs than that free playlist. Airport express, by the way, is amazing, especially if you live in a dorm room (where you actually will keep your stereo and printer near each other).

$30 worth of low-quality tracks; gee, thanks.

If you think they’re so low-quality, Galley, you’re not obligated to redeem them.

no kidding… what is it that you think apple owes you Galley? Why do you even have an ipod? (If you don’t, then why are you here?) Most people just bought the airport express just to have anyway, without the 30 songs… The 30 songs are just a freebie, so how could you possibly have something negative to say about that?!?! I don’t understand people like you. You think the world owes you something, wake up!

Does anyone know if it is possible to get this same deal with a purchase from a college’s education store? I would save $10 buying through there, and not to sound cheap or anything but I’d love to get both deals tied into one
