Apple has posted its latest TV advertisement for the iPhone 3G online. Titled “Game Changer,” the spot continues Apple’s recent trend of highlighting only a single application — in this case, MLB.com’s At Bat — showing off the app’s scores, live pitch updates, and video clip features. The new ad is now available for viewing on Apple’s website. [via TUAW]

Being an MLB junkie, I loved this ad.

While there were some that didn’t approve of the psuedo-subscription characteristics of this app (only works for the current season), I have found it to be tremendously useful. Of course we would all prefer it to be a one-time only purchase but I wont hesitate to click “Buy” on Opening Day next year. I would also jump at a reasonably-priced version for the NFL or NHL.

I personally love the ad since the video they show is of Brian Anderson calling a Ryan Braun HR! Go Brewers! (well the season is over for them, but I’m still a fan)

I downloaded the app and was pleased with Rev 1. Actually it exceeded my expectations. The fact that there was an immediate update shows they were paying attention.
PLEASE deliver an NHL service to us. I have no patience for baseball but for hockey I have all the time in the world. Having watched 195 games last year and the year before 203 an app like this would be perfect for those days of forced family fun.
