Apple has released iPhone Configuration Utility 2.0 for Mac OS X and Windows. The utility allows enterprise users to create, maintain, and encrypt configuration profiles which can then be used to setup multiple iPhones. Configuration profiles contain “device security policies, VPN configuration information, Wi-Fi settings, APN settings, Exchange account settings, mail settings, and certificates” that allow the devices to work with enterprise systems. iPhone Configuration Utility 2.0 for Mac and Windows is available now as a free download from Apple’s website; more on the iPhone’s enterprise features can be found in Apple’s Enterprise Deployment Guide.
