Apple releases iTunes 10.5 with iOS 5 support

Apple has released iTunes 10.5, ahead of tomorrow’s launch of iOS 5 and iCloud. According to the release notes, iTunes 10.5 offers support for iTunes in the Cloud, Automatic Downloads, the ability to download previous purchases, the ability to sync with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running iOS 5, and support for Wi-Fi synching. iTunes 10.5 is available now via Apple’s Software Update utility or as a direct download from apple.com/itunes.

So, I’m just trying to get this straight. Apple no longer supports iTunes on a Windows 32-bit system with iTunes 10.5? Just checking. It’s cool. I just want to be sure.

@1: No idea what you’re going on about. iTunes is a 32 bit application on Windows regardless of your specific OS. Given the problems they’ve had getting a 64 bit version to work correctly on Mac OS, I’m not holding my breath about seeing true 64 bit support on Windows any time soon.
