Apple has released iTunes 10.6.1, the latest update to its digital media management software. According to Apple’s release notes, the update fixes several issues that may cause iTunes to unexpectedly quit while playing videos, adjusting artwork size in Grid view or syncing photos, addresses issues with VocieOver and WindowEyes and fixes problems with responsiveness while syncing the iPod nano or iPod shuffle. The update also resolves the sorting problem browsing TV shows on the Apple TV that was introduced in iTunes 10.6. iTunes 10.6.1 is available now via Apple’s Software Update utility or as a free download from apple.com/itunes.

When I purchased my Ipad 3 64GB to replace my ipad 2 32GB, it was done mainly to add more photos to my device. I had over 22000 photos on the 32 GB. When I tried to add more photos, I have had nothing but problems. New folders of photos inserted into my photo sync folder would not load, or load only a small portion of the photos in each folder. It used to be very simple with the ipad 1 and ipad 2,insert photos into the sync folder and they would appear, but with the ipad 3 they did not.I read that one of the fixes of itunes 10.6.1 would fix syncing photo problems. I am happy to say it did! All of the new folders I inserted synced perfectly.
