Apple releases third developer betas for iOS 12, tvOS 12 + watchOS 5

Apple has released a third round of betas to registered developers for iOS 12 and tvOS 12, following the release of the second betas two weeks ago. iOS 12 beta 3 features a build number of 16A5318d and is accompanied by release notes outlining resolved issues from the last beta, including fixes to the weather widget, universal links, AirPods, CallKit, CarPlay, FaceTime, Screen Time, and Siri, however a number of new issues are also present in the third beta, including compatibility problems with Fortnite, and minor bugs in the Calendar, FaceTime, Siri, Spotlight, and Wallet apps.

The third tvOS 12 beta is build 16J5313d and according to the release notes, resolves issues with Accessibility, Apple TV Remote Keyboard, the Siri Remote, and more, as well as adding the promised location info to the aerial screensaver. watchOS 5 beta 3 is build 16R5313d and in addition to fixing a number of issues, introduces support for the promised “Raise to Speak” feature presented at WWDC, allowing users to issue commands to Siri without needing to prefix them with “Hey Siri.” New public betas of iOS 12 and tvOS 12 will likely appear soon.
