Apple has filed a lawsuit in Tokyo District Court seeking to ban sales of various Samsung Galaxy products in Japan. Citing sources close to the matter, Reuters reports that the suit specifically names the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, and Galaxy Tab 7; no mention is made of the more recent Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 7.7. According to the report, Samsung filed a suit against Apple in Japan in April, leading to an Apple countersuit on August 23. Apart from an order suspending sales of the devices, Apple is also seeking 100 million yen, or roughly $1.3 million, in damages, according to a Kyodo news agency report cited by Reuters.

Tedious is an understatement. What’s Apple going to do when the obvious rebound comes and companies holding some of the many thousands of overlapping patents that Apple is in violation of use the friendlier courts in their countries to try and get Apple’s products blocked?
Such a grand case of my lawyer can beat up your lawyer tactics.

I don’t get it. Is Apple afraid that Samsung may overthrow the iPad? IMO, there is no way that any specific tablet can take on iPad, since there is no other tablet that can run iOS. It really makes Apple look like a bunch of jerks! I hope that Samsung appeals every decision in every court and wins! This is not how competition is supposed to be- hey! Your tablet is actually pretty good, so we are going to sue you until you can’t sell it anymore! Also, it was pretty low of the judge presiding in Germany to say that a mninimalistic design can be had by only one company. Maybe Samsung should revise the device and add on 10 more buttons, and a back cover that changes color depending upon the users mood? Idk, but Apple you guys suck right now.
