Apple sells over one million iPhone 3GS
Apple has announced that it sold more than one million iPhone 3GS units over the device’s launch weekend, through Sunday, June 21. The total is on par with that of the iPhone 3G, which also sold one million units in its first weekend of availability despite nagging activation problems. In addition, the company revealed that more than six million customers have downloaded iPhone OS 3.0 since its release on Wednesday. Notably, Apple CEO Steve Jobs provides the quote for the company’s press release, his first contribution to a public company statement since January.
“Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”

I could not figure out how to operate an Apple Computer for the life of me (what no right click on the mouse?) But I love the iPod products and can’t exercise with out mine. I’ve been waiting for the iPhone to move into the 32gb arena before I jumped in. Then I worried about how it would interact with and sychronize with my PC.
I lost all my contacts when I screwed up my old SIM card on my old phone…but no worries. The Apple Tech walked me through importing my various Outlook Contacts to my home pc then plugged in my new iPhone 3GS. It worked seemlessly. All my contacts were transfered. Apple really makes a great products even for PC-Centric old fools who can’t learn new tricks. I am thoroughly impressed as how easy it was.
I think any complaints about the 3GS launch are unwarranted. I had nothing but an excellent experience from the snap decision to buy the 32 gb 3Gs to activating it and using it. I’m in awe.
