Apple to address iTunes 5 problems with update
Apple has acknowledged problems with the Windows version of iTunes 5 and said it will release an update next week to fix the issues.
“Apple is aware that a limited number of customers are experiencing issues with installing iTunes 5,” the company said in a statement. “We’re working to resolve this and expect to have a software update early next week.”
Problems reported on Apple’s support message board include computer crashes, deleted playlists, problems with purchased music transfers, and application conflicts, among other issues.

After I installed itunes 5, there were issues regarding the ipod synch, it copied several files into the ipod, even when these files were already there. Then my Ipod started to act mysteriously and had hardware crashes( than clciking sound and freezing that several of our friends talked about on this web site). After spending several hours on this, I was able to make the ipod to work again. This needed reverting back to the version that came with my ipod.

I had a couple problems. I installed it on my work laptop and couldn’t authorize the laptop. It took like an hour of rebooting and reinstalls. Another problem was it wipped out my wifes ipod clean. I’m glad it wasn’t mine, but I had to spend the time reloading just the songs she wanted.
oh well at least its fixed or getting fixed. oh and i wish my laptop was an apple chad.
