The correspondence recommends that current users should turn off iTunes Match on all of their computers and iOS devices, and says that songs on their computers should not be affected. Apple has offered iTunes Match to its registered iOS developers on a limited, beta basis since the end of August, but notably missed its “end of October” timetable for a public launch, and has instead continued releasing beta updates to iTunes 10.5.1 to developers as it continues to test the service.
