Having owned (and later sold) an AppleTV v2.x once upon a time, and now viewing the photos of v3.0, here’s the biggest change I could detect:
The UI font is a little different.
The interface still looks very cold, unfriendly, and frankly, very non-Apple-like. The Sony PS3’s media interface is far more inviting, a point I submitted via Apple’s feedback mechanism a year ago. This still looks like a loser compared to the PS3 and xBox 360, and the sole benefit of AppleTV - iTunes integration - isn’t enough to overcome all of the shortcomings.
Now I’ll be keeping my Universal dock with Component outputs longer still. At least I can buy a snazzy new remote for it.

I’m liking the new interface. In the different categories you can see and select the artwork for unplayed shows, photo ablums/events as well as other recommendations. It still needs an iTunesU section since it is still simply adding them to the movies section.
I like the addition of the Internet category. Internet Radio should have been on the ATV a long time ago. I would hope this expands to the ability to may be do some light web surfing or more video portals. Namely getting more streaming online video onto the television screen.

Herr Doktor, I think you’re confusing “clean and simple” with “very cold and unfriendly”. I think it looks very straightforward and what I would expect from Apple.

Hi,
Two questions for you guys:)
1. I can see, that you’ve got Blueprint 3 in your library. Do you know, if iTunes LP for this album works on Apple TV? I heard, that not every single iTunes LP works on Apple TV… That’s why I’m asking.
2. Is it possible to viev my YouTube uploads on Apple TV? There’s such an option on the iPhone? Where’s (if there is) on Apple TV?
