AT&T considering cheaper iPhone service plans
AT&T is considering a limited data access plan for iPhone users which would reduce the minimum monthly cost of an iPhone by $10, according to a new report. Citing people with knowledge of the company’s plans, BusinessWeek reports that the reduced plan could be introduced by the end of the month, and that the increased flexibility in pricing may be part of Apple’s demands for an exclusivity extension. Other options for increasing iPhone sales include reducing the up-front price of the iPhone to $99 or introducing a cheaper and/or pre-paid iPhone model.

I don’t use alot of the data, and would love a cheaper plane. Hell I signed up for a plan with att last year that gave me 550 mins a month and i have 2500 roll over mins and thats with 3 phones on the plan sharing the 550 mins we talk with other ATT users the most so I would love a cheaper phone rate as well. I ride my motorcycle to and from work so I don’t even use data much or cell going to or from.

You know what I do most with my phone? Talk on it. Give me a plan without the data option, and the extra 30 bucks a month, and I’ll get an iphone.
Seriously, what I (and many others) want is essentially an itouch with a phone. I don’t need the 3G, nor do I want it—but to have a phone with wifi capability would be sweet.
Still waiting to see whats going to happen in June—if I can get an iphone without a data plan, I’m all over it (and if that means the much rumored “iphone nano,” so be it). If not, I’m going to have to go in a different direction.

You know what I do on my IPhone, about 7000 mins a month andmore data that my laptop. I even had to by the enterprise stuff for work so a $200 dollar bill a month sucks. But then again as a field rep I have to pony up or miss sales.
