AT&T iPhone Plan once included 1500 SMS texts?

As one of a couple of noteworthy inconsistencies in Apple’s iPhone Activation & Sync video, a screen showing activation of the AT&T iPhone Plan offers a $79.99 alternative with 900 weekday minutes, unlimited data services, and 1500 SMS Text Messages—different from today’s announced plan, shown in another part of the video, which offers only 200 SMS Text Messages at the base $79.99 price, with a $10 charge to upgrade to 1500 SMS messages. The 1500 SMS screen appears at 02:55 in the video.

Readers have also pointed out that one cropped screen displays 74.40GB of usable storage capacity for iPhone, versus the 7.24GB initially shown as available. This error is most certainly based upon the storage capacity of an 80GB iPod, and does not reflect a current iPhone model.

Apple must have been toying with a 80GB iPhone (on that demo)—I am willing to wait for that!

Does anyone else think that we will have to update iTunes this week? Hopefully they will make some changes to the software, address some of the bugs that have been going down.
I would think that they have to update iTunes so that it will work with the iPhone, but I won’t be getting the phone for years anyway. I’m content with my vid iPod.

“Apple must have been toying with a 80GB iPhone”
Not likely. It’s far more likely that it was either just a screenshot/crop inserted from having an 80GB iPod connected, or they had modified an 80GB iPod to identify itself to iTunes as an iPhone for the sake of this demo.
I doubt that we’ll be seeing an 80GB iPhone in the near future, since that would still be in the realm of hard drive sizes, which would be unsuitable for the design of a phone.

When you’ve got unlimited e-mail on the iPhone included already, I can live with “only” 200 SMS texts.
